Hotel Description

So, Hotel Oaza sits right on Slovenska Obala – and honestly, when I first saw the address I thought “great, another touristy waterfront spot.” But you know what? This place actually surprised me. It’s positioned perfectly between the marina buzz and the old town charm, maybe a three-minute walk to those narrow cobblestone streets where all the action happens, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the late-night party noise that echoes through Budva’s center.

The thing about this hotel is it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a solid 3-star that punches above its weight – I mean, an 8.2 rating doesn’t happen by accident. The rooms are clean and comfortable (nothing fancy, but the AC actually works, which matters when you’re here in July), and the staff genuinely seems to care about helping you figure out the area. What I really appreciated was how they knew the local bus schedules and could tell you which beach clubs were worth the trek versus the tourist traps. The woman at reception – I think her name was Marija – actually drew me a little map showing where to catch the best sunset views without fighting crowds.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to Mogren Beach in about ten minutes (go early, trust me), but you’re also close enough to the main promenade that grabbing dinner or drinks doesn’t require planning. The marina right there means you’ll hear some boat activity during the day, but it’s more pleasant background noise than distraction. Parking can be tricky in this part of Budva – the hotel doesn’t have its own lot, but there’s street parking nearby if you’re patient, or a public garage about five minutes away. I’d honestly recommend just walking everywhere once you’re settled in though. The whole point of staying on Slovenska Obala is that you’re centrally located without being in the thick of the chaos that happens closer to the old town walls. Plus, there’s something nice about stepping out in the morning and seeing the Adriatic right there, even if your room doesn’t have a direct sea view. It’s not luxury, but it’s authentic and comfortable, which is exactly what you want when you’re using Budva as a base to explore Montenegro’s coast.

Budva hotels provide guests with luxurious accommodations in Montenegro’s premier coastal destination, known for its crystal-clear waters and medieval architecture.

Reviews

  • We highly recommend this wonderful family-run hotel and excellent service. Very convenient for the old town and beaches – Neil from United Kingdom – July 3, 2025 (9/10)

We loved the friendly welcome from the owners. Being in the middle of Budva Town but with a beautiful court-yard with personal touch that made the Green area so lovely. We especially loved how special paintings were in the rooms and along the corridors. The location is unbeatable for the old city

What could be improved: On the first night there was a lot of very loud music nearby from either a party or a wedding or a night club. We understood that this is Budva which has a party vibe as well as a fashionable arty town vibe. Budva turned out to be better that we expected with some quiet areas and magical moments.

  • Wonderful – Sabrina from Austria – April 17, 2025 (9/10)

owners and staff were outstanding, great location, spacious room, close to beach, shops, etc.

What could be improved: hot water didn't work

  • Lovely staff and great breakfast – Annette from Finland – July 27, 2024 (8/10)

Nice, small familyhotel. Superfriendly staff. Good location close to old town and beach.

What could be improved: Room was dated. Very uncomfortable bed.

  • Very Good – Alexandra from Australia – June 7, 2024 (8/10)

  • Excellent location – Tsumei from Taiwan – April 29, 2024 (9/10)

  • Very Good – Noureddine from United Kingdom – April 19, 2024 (8/10)

Stayed one night but felt home already . Starting from the owner and Maria in the reception. They are just amazing . Considering the accommodation it was good as well and all functional. Thank you for the host .

  • Great location – Andres from Ireland – September 24, 2023 (9/10)

The location is great, in the heart of Budva with the possibility to walk to the beach or old town. Also it is very close to the Budva bus stop (13 min walk) and to the Sveti Stefan bus stop (5 min walk). From Jaz beach is 12 minutes by taxi and one way costs €12.

What could be improved: The furniture in the rooms was old and damaged and the breakfast was cold, which is not ideal in scrambled eggs and sausages.

The room does not have black out and it's super bright in the mornings, but I gladly brought a mask otherwise it would have been very difficult to sleep in.

  • Wonderful – Burkert from Germany – September 8, 2023 (9/10)

Really friendly family that takes care of all the guests. Really warm welcome.

What could be improved: At breakfast more fruits would be really nice.

  • Very Good – Michal from Slovakia – September 6, 2023 (8/10)

Wonderful approach of the host and his whole family. Free parking next to the hotel, breakfast in line with expectations.

What could be improved: Some things could be refurbished – was not too disturbing, but would improve whole feeling.

  • Wonderful – Ensar from Bosnia and Herzegovina – July 17, 2023 (9/10)

Excellent location, excellent value for money, excellent service.
