The name had me expecting some glitzy, over-the-top place, but honestly, it’s way more understated than that – and I mean that in the best possible way. Walking in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about what travelers need instead of just throwing fancy marble everywhere and calling it luxury.

The thing is, this place gets the fundamentals absolutely right. I’m talking about those details that sound boring until you’re dealing with paper-thin walls at 2 AM or fighting with a shower that alternates between arctic and volcanic – none of that here. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s well-appointed apartment rather than some sterile hotel box. The beds are actually comfortable (not just piled high with decorative pillows), and the bathrooms have proper water pressure and lighting that doesn’t make you look like you’re recovering from the plague. Small things, but they add up when you’re trying to get ready for dinner or decompress after a long day of wandering around.

What really sold me though was how the staff operates – they’ve got that sweet spot between being helpful and not hovering. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no upselling or lengthy explanations of amenities I’ll never use. The front desk folks seem to actually know the area too, which sounds obvious but you’d be surprised how rare that is. They pointed me toward this little café around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise, and when I mentioned I was looking for a good spot to grab groceries, they knew exactly which market had the best produce without even thinking about it. That kind of local knowledge is gold when you’re somewhere new.

The common areas have this relaxed vibe where you can actually imagine hanging out with a coffee or glass of wine without feeling like you’re performing in some Instagram-worthy lobby scene. There’s usually a good mix of business travelers and tourists, but it never feels chaotic or overly loud – even during what seemed like peak season. Honestly, I was surprised by how quiet everything stayed, especially considering how central everything feels. You’re close enough to the action that you can walk to most places you’d want to go, but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually get some sleep.

Look, it’s a solid three-star place that punches above its weight – that 8.8 rating isn’t just people being generous. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I actually found refreshing after staying at places that promise the moon and deliver mediocrity wrapped in expensive linens. If you want somewhere comfortable and well-run where you can focus on enjoying wherever you are instead of dealing with hotel drama, this is your spot. Just don’t expect a rooftop infinity pool or a concierge who can get you into impossible restaurants – but honestly, do you really need all that anyway?

  It is a pleasant place to stay, and we had a great time at Opera Jazz. Although the rooms are small, they are sufficient for couples, and the patio and garden outside were pleasant. The staff is amiable and courteous, and the breakfast is also excellent.Overall, we had a pleasant experience.
  To travel to Budva and Kotors, having a car makes everything much easier.
  
  What could be improved: Just my personal opinion, but could you please include tooth brush and paste with the toiletries

  The warmth of the people greeting us, clean rooms. Nice pool.
  After a long roadtrip, we even got the rooms before the check in time.
  Breakfast was ok, restaurant open until 23:00.

  Location was fine for us as we had a car. Breakfast was good as well, except the fact there was no water in whole area and we couldn't have coffee. Waitress told us we could have different coffee but have to pay separately for this. Otherwise lovely place. Nice dinners. Nice music inside restaurant
  
  What could be improved: In the restaurant people were smoking beside the fact it was written no smoking inside. Smokers had place outside but they probably get used to smoke inside. Waitress seems to not care about them, she was even chatting very friendly to them.

  This hotel exceeded all of our expectations! Everything was perfect.
  The staff were amazing—so friendly and welcoming. We arrived very late due to a flight delay, and Dragana (I believe she was the owner?) was incredibly sweet! The next day, we spent our time by the swimming pool, which was clean and calm, making for a perfectly relaxing day. The drinks were great, but the food was unbelievably good. We tried all the seafood options on the menu during our 4-day stay, and everything was cooked to perfection. We also got hooked on the bread they serve—haha!
  
  Our room was fantastic—comfortable, clean, with a large balcony offering a beautiful view. We stayed for four nights, and the staff changed the towels and cleaned the room every day.
  
  Honestly, it couldn’t have been better, and we hope to return soon!
