You know what really struck me about Hotel Ponta Plaza Conference & Spa? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to its 4-star rating without trying too hard to impress you. I mean, the moment you walk into that lobby, there’s this understated elegance that feels authentic rather than flashy – sort of like they know they’re good and don’t need to shout about it.

The spa here is honestly where this place shines. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels that slap “spa” on their name and then offer you a tiny room with one massage table, but these guys have really thought it through. The treatment rooms have this calming eucalyptus scent that hits you the second you walk in, and the therapists actually know what they’re doing (I had knots in my shoulders that had been bothering me for weeks – completely gone after an hour session). The conference facilities are surprisingly well-designed too, which you don’t always expect. I attended a business event there, and honestly, the meeting rooms have proper lighting and decent acoustics, plus they managed to keep the coffee stations stocked all day without that awkward mid-afternoon scramble you get at most venues.

What I really appreciate is how they handle the little things. Check-in was smooth – no standing around for twenty minutes while they hunt for your reservation. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star property, but it’s the details that matter: blackout curtains that actually block light (trust me, this is rarer than it should be), decent water pressure in the shower, and – this might sound weird but it matters – the air conditioning isn’t one of those units that sounds like a helicopter landing all night. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which can be a real issue depending on where you’re staying. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you add it all up. It’s not trying to be the most luxurious place in town, but everything just works the way it should. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I had any kind of business meeting or just wanted a proper spa weekend without the pretentious atmosphere you sometimes get at higher-end places.

  hotel in a great location with a beautiful view, very comfortable rooms, large balcony, kettle and coffee maker in the room, minibar. delicious breakfasts – something new every day and classics, lots of regional cold cuts and cheeses and wonderful, friendly service both at breakfast and generally in the hotel. parking in front of the hotel, never a problem with parking. hotel by the beach and promenade which allows you to quickly go for a walk but you can also easily go on trips – a wonderful hotel at a reasonable price

  Beautiful brand new property on Becici beach with lovely side views of the ocean. It must be noted that the hotel is on the back/side half of a building and the front portion / directly facing the ocean is a separate hotel. We realised this when we got our room with side sea facing view but it was not a bad deal at all for the duration we stayed for just before the official summer season kicks in May. This hotel is not in Budva town center but a short drive away. The area is much calmer with a cleaner nicer beach, lovely views and all amenities nearby. The spa is piecemeal but the rooms and breakfast spread were was great. Mr. Goran was extremely hospitable, warm and friendly and went beyond his role as F&B manager to make our stay comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: Could have had more vegetarian friendly options in their breakfast and other meals, but this is an issue that is country wide not just specific to this hotel! Would be nice to include free drinking water in the rooms since its not the most pleasant to have to fill up bottles from the bathroom sink. We bought bottled water from a nearby supermarket.

  The property was so good and clean. The breakfast and other services offered by them were really nice. The sea view from our room was amazing and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. One of the best things is the staff. All of them were really helpful, polite and friendly. Especially the reception staff. I recommend ponta plaza for everyone without any doubt.

  It’s very modern, right on the beach which was fantastic! The breakfast spread was really great as well and the room was cleaned everyday. Marsha at the reception was very helpful!
  
  What could be improved: The average cost of a taxi from the hotel to the old town where most things are is about €10 but that is the price to pay for being right on the beach I guess.
