Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Hotel Reset – I mean, the name alone sounds like something a tech startup would come up with. But you know what? Sometimes those low expectations work in your favor because this place completely surprised me.

The whole vibe here feels like someone took a really tired old hotel and actually thought about what travelers need, not just what looks good in photos. The lobby has this clean, almost minimalist thing going on, but it’s warm minimalism if that makes sense – not the cold, sterile kind that makes you feel like you’re in a waiting room. Check-in was refreshingly quick (they actually had enough staff working), and the woman at the front desk knew her stuff when I asked about parking. Speaking of which, they’ve got a decent-sized lot that doesn’t feel like a game of Tetris every time you need to get your car out.

What really got me was how they handled the little things that usually drive you crazy at hotels. The room key worked every single time – I know that sounds ridiculous to mention, but we’ve all been there, right? The shower had actual water pressure, the air conditioning didn’t sound like a jet engine, and the Wi-Fi was fast enough that I could actually video call my family without that awkward delay thing happening. The bed was one of those situations where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re being swallowed whole, and I’m pretty picky about mattresses. The room itself felt fresh but lived-in, if that makes sense – like they renovated recently but didn’t go overboard with that generic hotel room aesthetic that all looks the same.

I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, but the place never felt chaotic or understaffed. The housekeeping team was on point – they’d hit your room early if you wanted, or you could easily push it back without any attitude. There’s something to be said for a place that runs smoothly without making a big show of it. The neighborhood around it has that nice mix of quiet residential streets and enough nearby options that you’re not stuck eating hotel food if you don’t want to. I walked to a couple of local spots that were definitely worth it, though I’m kicking myself for not writing down the name of that coffee place two blocks over.

Look, Hotel Reset isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in town, and that’s exactly why it works. It’s the kind of spot where everything just… works. You’re not paying for marble everything or a concierge who calls you “sir” every five seconds, but you’re getting a genuinely comfortable stay without any of the usual hotel nonsense. That 9.5 rating isn’t just inflated review scores – it actually feels earned. I’d definitely stay here again, and I’m already thinking about it for my next trip through the area.

  We stayed at Hotel Reset and were absolutely delighted. The hotel is located on a hill above the city, offering a stunning view of Budva, the sea, and St. Nicholas Island.
  
  The rooms are designed as individual bungalows with private entrances, providing a sense of privacy and comfort. The grounds are very well maintained, with lots of greenery and a spacious atmosphere. The large swimming pool was a real highlight.
  
  Special thanks to the staff — incredibly friendly and helpful, they made us feel truly welcome.

  This place was only hotel with heated pool in October month – we contacted a lot of places. Pool was warm, rooms was clean and comfortable, breakfast was great and every day was different food. Reset hotel team was very friendly and kind. We had very best experience with the place – great family and young people friendly hotel. THE y also have restaurant/cafe where You can order food all day. The view to Budva city is perfect!

  What could be improved: There are construction projects near hotel so it can be a little bit noisy, but we already know that in most places in Budva they are building something – city is growing and will be more beautiful in the future. We understand that hotel needs to grow so we was ok with different construction noises – we wish to Hotel Reset all the best with new rooms and relaxing zone! And thank you for great music at the pool!

  What could be improved: Didn’t change our bedding the whole time we were there. But generally clean and nice room. The breakfast options were very limited.
