You know what surprised me most about Hotel Stella di Mare? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to its impressive 9.4 rating without feeling stuffy or pretentious about it. When I first walked into the lobby, I honestly expected another generic four-star setup, but there’s something genuinely warm about this place that hits you right away. The staff doesn’t just go through the motions – they actually seem to remember your name after the first day, which is rarer than it should be.

The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully comfortable rather than flashy. Sure, the linens are crisp and the bathroom fixtures are modern, but it’s the little things that stuck with me – like how they’ve positioned the desk chair so you’re not staring at a wall, and the way the blackout curtains actually block out light (you’d be amazed how many hotels mess this up). I mean, the air conditioning runs quietly enough that you can sleep with it on, which honestly made my entire stay better since I’m one of those people who needs it cool to sleep properly. The WiFi is solid throughout the building too, not just in the lobby like some places.

What really sets Stella di Mare apart is how they handle the details without making a big show of it. Breakfast runs until a reasonable hour – none of this “kitchen closes at 9 AM sharp” nonsense – and they’ve got both local specialties and the international basics covered well. The evening atmosphere in the common areas has this relaxed buzz where you actually want to hang out rather than just retreat to your room immediately. I ended up having some great conversations with other travelers over drinks, which doesn’t always happen at hotels this size. Parking was straightforward when I needed it, and check-in was efficient without feeling rushed. The location works well if you’re planning to explore the area – you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere, but you’re also not dealing with constant street noise at night. I slept better here than I have at some five-star places, honestly. It’s the kind of spot where everything just works the way it should, which sounds simple but is surprisingly hard to find.

  The best hotel to stay in Becici, Budva. Family, wonderful people who care about the hotel and you. Clean, well organized, with guest care in mind, a woman checked our room every single day while we were not in there. Special thanks for the breakfast, homemade cuisine with a large selection of delicious meals. If we come back to Montenegro we will definitely stay there, there is no better place than Stella di Mare.

  Staff was really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing, it had lots of choice and each day it was a bit diverse. Room had a balcony with a nice view. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay. Plus is also walkable distance to a beach and markets and restaurants nearby.

  Great hotel. Real value for the money! Family atmosphere. Good location, 7 min. walk to the beach and restaurants, local grocery with always fresh fruit is 2 min. walk, supermarket is 5 min. walk. Quiet neghborhood in late hours. A parking lot is provided by the hotel and it's free. Breakfast is excellent. Good variety of food and a nice little terrace to enjoy breakfast and a cup of coffee. The hosts are great, always willing to help, always with a smile.

  What could be improved: Nothing. If I really want to be picky I would say that the elevator is rather on the small side.
