Check-in was smooth – no awkward upselling attempts or lengthy explanations of facilities I could figure out myself. The front desk folks actually remember your name after the first day, which is refreshing. Breakfast runs until a reasonable hour (none of this “sorry, kitchen closes at 9:30 AM sharp” nonsense), and while it’s not an elaborate buffet spread, everything they do have is quality. Their Swiss-style muesli is legitimately good, and the coffee doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting in a thermal carafe since dawn. The dining area gets natural light and doesn’t feel like you’re eating in a basement conference room.

One thing worth mentioning – this place attracts a good mix of business travelers and tourists, so it never feels too stuffy or too chaotic. The common areas have comfortable seating where you can actually work on a laptop without your back cramping up after twenty minutes. WiFi is solid throughout the building, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy in 2024 but somehow still is at many hotels. Parking situation is decent if you’re driving, though I’d recommend asking about it when you book since spaces seem limited during busy periods.

The 8.5 rating makes complete sense to me – it’s the kind of place that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone but does what it promises really well. You’re not getting a spa or rooftop pool, but you are getting a genuinely comfortable stay with thoughtful touches.
