You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Tara Becici? The moment I walked into the lobby, I actually felt like I was somewhere special – not just another cookie-cutter resort property. This 4-star spot sits right in Becici, which honestly is one of those places that locals will tell you about if you ask the right questions. The whole Budva Riviera gets crazy busy during summer, but Becici has this sweet spot thing going where you’re close enough to everything but not drowning in the tourist chaos.

The staff here – and I mean this – actually seem to care about what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling pressure, and the front desk folks knew their stuff about getting around the area. My room had that clean, modern vibe without feeling sterile, you know? The bed was properly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathroom had decent water pressure, which… well, if you’ve traveled around the Balkans, you know that’s not always a given. The balcony view depends on which room you get, but even the partial sea views are pretty nice when you’re having your morning coffee. One thing though – the walls aren’t super thick, so if you’re a light sleeper, pack some earplugs just in case you get neighbors who like to chat late.

What really sold me on this place was how easy it made everything else. The beach is literally a few minutes’ walk, and it’s that gorgeous Becici beach that stretches for almost two kilometers – way better than the crowded strips you’ll find closer to Budva’s old town. The hotel’s restaurant is actually decent (I was skeptical), and their local fish dishes are legit. Plus, when you want to venture out, you can catch a bus or taxi to Budva in maybe ten minutes, or if you’re feeling ambitious, it’s a nice walk along the coast. The 8.1 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the coast, but it nails the fundamentals and then some. I’d definitely come back, especially during shoulder season when the whole area is a bit more relaxed and you can really appreciate what Montenegro’s coast is all about.

  Clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Wide variety of dishes at dinner and breakfast. Staff are very helpful, outdoor pool very clean.

  Perfect location for our needs. There is a private beach.

  The location is very good. It easy to reach to others beaches from there.
  
  What could be improved: Every day that we took a shower between 6 and 8 pm the water was cold.
  The staff at the restaurant wasn’t kind. If we ask something if looked that we were bothering they.
  
  The child seat was always VERY dirty. If we complained they said only to us take other. We had to clean it every day before put our baby there.
  
  The last but not least, the internet inside the room was poor.

  The hotel in general is good especially the staff very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The food was not good for what you pay, the wifi network is the worst ever and no one can help you for this. Do not let the staff park your car under the pine trees because you will find it full of resin.

  Excellent location, the beach is right in front of the hotel. It is within walking distance of Rafailovici and for those eager also to Budva old city. It is a pleasant walking path by the sea. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and sandy hotel beach with sunbed and umbrella included in the room price.
