Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Irish Apartment Complex” in Montenegro, I thought someone was having a laugh. But this place in Bečići actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away from the main coastal chaos, which means you’re not dealing with the crowds stumbling back from Budva’s Old Town at 3 AM (trust me, you’ll appreciate this). The location is sort of perfect, actually – close enough to walk to those gorgeous Bečići beaches in about five minutes, but far enough from the main strip that you can actually sleep without earplugs.

What struck me most was how the staff genuinely seemed to care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth, none of that bureaucratic nonsense you sometimes get at bigger hotels, and they actually knew the area well enough to give you real recommendations. The apartments themselves are clean and functional – I mean, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble countertops, but everything works and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too, which is clutch if you want to grab some of that incredible local produce from the markets and actually cook something instead of eating out every meal. You know what really sold me though? The little touches – decent WiFi that doesn’t drop every ten minutes, proper blackout curtains, and hot water that stays hot even during peak hours.

The thing about Bečići is that it’s got this relaxed vibe compared to Budva proper – you’re literally a 10-minute bus ride or quick taxi from all the nightlife and historical sites, but you come home to something that feels more residential and calm. I noticed a lot of families and couples who seemed to be repeat visitors, which usually tells you something about a place. Parking isn’t a nightmare here either (anyone who’s driven around the Montenegrin coast in summer will know what I mean), and the beach access is genuinely easy. That 9.2 rating isn’t just inflated reviews – this place delivers on the basics really well, and honestly, sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to unwind somewhere beautiful without breaking the bank.
