When I first pulled up to Ivanovic residences, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t scream “boutique hotel” from the outside. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard. This three-star property sits quietly on Iva Lole Ribara street, and there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it. The building has that clean, modern look that fits right into Budva‘s newer residential areas, and I immediately noticed how easy it was to find parking right on site — which, trust me, is worth its weight in gold in Montenegro’s coastal towns.

Location That Actually Works

Here’s the thing about location — everyone says theirs is great, but this one actually delivers. I mean, couples are rating it 9.2 out of 10, and after spending time here, I get why. You’re close enough to Budva’s old town and beaches that you can walk there without breaking a sweat, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the summer crowds stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The neighborhood feels residential and safe — I saw locals walking their dogs in the evenings, kids playing in nearby courtyards. It’s real Montenegro, not just the tourist version.

The Accommodation Experience

The room I stayed in was honestly better than I expected for a three-star place. Clean lines, decent space, and — this matters more than you’d think — really good blackout curtains. The air conditioning actually works (not always a given in this part of the world), and the Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay. I particularly appreciated the little kitchenette area — nothing fancy, but enough to make morning coffee or store some local cheese and wine from the market. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained, with good water pressure in the shower.

What Sets It Apart

You know what I really liked? The staff actually seemed to care about making sure guests were comfortable, without being overly formal about it. When I asked about local restaurant recommendations, they didn’t just hand me a generic tourist brochure — they told me where they personally go for dinner. The property itself is well-maintained without feeling sterile, and there’s this sense that they’re running a proper business here, not just trying to cash in on Budva’s tourism boom. The free private parking alone saves you probably 10-15 euros a day compared to other places in the area.

Why Guests Love It

After staying here, I totally understand why this place consistently gets high ratings from visitors. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — just a well-run, comfortable place to stay while you explore the Montenegrin coast. The combination of that excellent location, reliable amenities, and genuine hospitality creates exactly what most travelers actually want (as opposed to what they think they want). For the price point, you’re getting solid value and a base that lets you enjoy Budva without the typical tourist hotel hassles. Sometimes the best recommendation is simply this: I’d stay here again.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Budva at least two months ahead for major events like Sea Dance Festival, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near the beach.

  The apartment is located in a newly built residential building. You might have difficulties finding the address, just follow the street (Ive Lole Ribara) and look for the sign on the left, when coming upwards.
  The location of the apartment is great, the local beach is just a few minutes away by walk, via an overpass above the main road of Bečići. The fascilities of the individual flats are good, they are in accordiance of the written and picture-shown. Lifts are indeed available.
  The host is super friendly and generous, the key handover was without any problems, the neighbourhood is quiet, although when it isn't, the windows are perfectly exclude any noises.
