Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Kuća Todorović? The name itself – it literally means “Todorović House” in Serbian, which honestly sets the tone perfectly. This isn’t some cookie-cutter hotel trying to impress you with marble lobbies and fake smiles. It’s actually someone’s family place that they’ve opened up to travelers, and you can feel that difference the moment you walk in.
The three-star rating might make you think it’s nothing special, but that 8.9 guest score tells the real story. I mean, people are rating their actual experience here, not just counting amenities on a checklist. What you get is this wonderfully authentic Serbian hospitality – the kind where the owner (probably a Todorović family member) actually remembers your name and asks how you slept. The rooms aren’t fancy, but they’re clean and comfortable with that lived-in feeling that makes you relax instead of worrying about touching anything. The beds are surprisingly good, actually, with proper firm mattresses and linens that smell like they were dried outside in fresh air.
Here’s the thing about places like this in Serbia – they operate on a completely different philosophy than Western hotels. Breakfast might not start exactly at 7 AM if the family is running a bit behind, but when it does appear, it’ll be homemade bread, local cheese, and coffee strong enough to wake the dead. The owner will probably sit with you and give you directions to places that aren’t in any guidebook, then insist you take some fruit for the road. Parking is usually just… wherever there’s space nearby, which works fine once you get used to the Serbian approach to urban planning. The Wi-Fi works (mostly), there’s hot water when you need it, and honestly, what else do you really need?
If you’re the type who needs 24-hour room service and turndown chocolates, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want to actually experience Serbian culture instead of just photographing it, Kuća Todorović delivers something you can’t get at chain hotels. The neighborhood probably comes alive in the evenings with locals heading to nearby kafanas, and you’ll hear real conversations drifting up from the street instead of tour groups. That’s worth way more than thread counts and marble bathrooms, at least in my book.
To book hotel in Budva during the famous summer festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts beach enthusiasts and nightlife lovers from around the world.

I liked my stay in the hotel very much. Owners are very nice people, friendly and hospitable and they did all the best to make my stay very comfortable for which I am much grateful to them. Hostel has very good location, 10 min walk to the beach, near are a lot of shops, restaurants, cafes, big supermarket is in 10 min walk distance. I had very nice room with large balcony facing lovely and quite garden where I liked to take my meal. Room has all necessary, including fridge, TV, little kettler, hair drier, bed was very comfortable. I also had kitchen with all required utensils to prepare my food.
It was very quite and comfortable and even other guests were staying in the neighboring rooms I didn't hear them at all.
I will definitely stay here next time I arrive to Budva.Andrijana from North Macedonia – 20 September 2024 (9/10)
Everything. The host, house. Everything is so clean and close.
We were here in 2022 and we will come again for sure.Anna from Switzerland – 10 September 2024 (9/10)
The hotel is located near the beach. The path to the beach goes through a picturesque park and past bakeries with delicious pastries, several cafes and supermarkets, which is very convenient. The hotel and the room are clean, constantly cleaned, all appliances in the room worked. The hotel has a kitchen corner with all the necessary equipment and dishes. After 10 o'clock in the evening is a quiet hour, so I could have a good rest and no one disturbed me. The owner of the hotel is friendly and always ready to help.
