Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Lapčiči View, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But sometimes you stumble onto something that just works, you know? This little spot has this understated charm that grows on you. The name isn’t kidding about the view either – depending on which room you get, you’re looking out over some pretty spectacular scenery that changes completely as the light shifts throughout the day. I mean, I’ve stayed at places with twice the stars that couldn’t deliver anything close to what you see from their upper floors.

What really got me was how the staff actually seemed to care about the details. Check-in was smooth (no standing around for twenty minutes while they figure out their system), and the guy at the front desk – I think his name was Marko – actually knew the area well enough to give decent restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the tourist traps. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly. You know what I appreciated? The beds are actually firm enough to sleep on without waking up feeling like you wrestled with the mattress all night. The bathroom’s compact but functional, good water pressure, and honestly the whole place just feels well-maintained rather than flashy.

Here’s the thing though – this isn’t a resort where you’re going to find a spa or elaborate breakfast buffet. It’s more like… well, it’s the kind of place where you can actually relax without feeling like you need to be “on” all the time. The common areas have this lived-in feel, comfortable chairs where you can actually sit and read without your back cramping up. I spent a couple evenings just hanging out there with a drink, watching other guests come and go. There’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone – Lapčiči View seems to know exactly what it is and does that well. If you’re looking for somewhere genuine to base yourself, especially if you plan to spend your days exploring rather than lounging by a pool, this place delivers way more than you’d expect for the price point.
