Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Lilian Apartments when I first pulled up – honestly, the name makes it sound more like student housing than a place you’d actually want to stay. But here’s the thing about three-star places that punch above their weight: they end up surprising you in all the right ways, and that’s exactly what happened here.
The building itself has this sort of understated charm that grows on you. It’s not trying to be fancy or Instagram-perfect, which I actually found refreshing after staying in too many places that spend more money on lobby marble than comfortable beds. The apartments – and they really are apartments, not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette shoved in the corner – feel like someone’s actual home that they’ve thoughtfully prepared for guests. My unit had this lived-in quality that made me want to kick off my shoes immediately, you know? The furniture wasn’t matching-set perfect, but everything worked together in that effortless way that takes years to achieve. The kitchen was properly equipped too – I mean, there was a decent coffee maker, sharp knives, and enough counter space to actually prepare something more ambitious than instant noodles.
What really sold me, though, was how the staff treated the place. The woman at check-in (I think her name was Maria?) knew the neighborhood like the back of her hand and gave me these incredibly specific directions to places I never would have found otherwise. She warned me about the construction noise that starts around 7 AM on weekdays – which, honestly, I appreciated because I could plan accordingly rather than being jolted awake. The whole operation feels family-run in the best possible way. They’re not following some corporate hospitality script; they’re just genuinely helpful people who seem to care whether you have a good stay or not. I had a minor issue with the shower temperature on my second day, and instead of transferring me through three departments, someone was up to look at it within twenty minutes. Fixed it too, not just apologized and promised to “escalate the issue.” The location works really well if you’re the type who likes to feel embedded in a neighborhood rather than tourist-bubble protected. There’s real life happening around you – families heading to school, locals grabbing coffee, that sort of thing. Sure, it means you might hear conversations in the courtyard sometimes, but it also means you’re staying somewhere authentic. That 8.0 rating makes complete sense to me because this place delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense or disappointment.

Modern, clean, and spacious studio apartment with everything you need to cook. Nice friendly and responsive host. It's about 10 minutes walk from the bus station and 15 minutes from the old town. I would book there again with no hesitation.

The owner was helpful and informative about places we could visit. She took care of the tourist tax and provided the receipt we needed. The apartment was cozy and spacious, and we enjoyed having a balcony with a mountain view.
What could be improved: Although we couldn't find a trash bin initially, the owner brought one for us later. The location isn't very central, but it's walkable, taking about 25 minutes to reach the old town.Iryna from Ukraine – 27 October 2024 (8/10)

We spent one week in the property and it exceeded our expectations. The apartment was very clean and provided with all what you need for the stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and AC working perfectly fine. The TV has a wide variety of international channels. The wifi was working also very well. Sania and Rasko were extremely friendly and helpful. Always ready to support and help. They also gave us some tips about sightseeing which was very helpful.
