You know what caught me off guard about this little Budva apartment? It’s actually one of those places that photographs well but somehow feels even better in person – which honestly doesn’t happen that often. I mean, three stars doesn’t sound like much on paper, but that 9.3 rating starts making sense the moment you settle in.

The one-bedroom setup is smartly done, and I’m talking about someone who clearly thought about how people actually live, not just how spaces look in listings. The kitchen has everything you’d actually use (decent knife, proper coffee maker, enough counter space to not feel cramped), and the bedroom manages to feel separate even though the whole place isn’t huge. What really won me over though was the bathroom – good water pressure and it stays warm, which you can’t take for granted in some of these Montenegrin coastal apartments. The Wi-Fi is solid too, worked perfectly for video calls back home.

Location-wise, you’re right in the thick of Budva without being stuck in the absolute chaos of the Old Town tourist swarm. I could walk to Slovenska Plaza in about eight minutes, hit the main pedestrian zone in five, but still duck back to the apartment when I needed a break from all the summer crowds. The building itself is pretty quiet – I was worried about street noise initially, but the windows do their job well. Parking was easier than I expected too, though I’d definitely recommend asking the host about the best spots before you arrive. August is obviously insane here (like everywhere on the Montenegrin coast), but even then the apartment felt like a proper retreat. The AC works great, which matters more than you’d think when it’s hitting 35 degrees and humid. One small thing – the check-in was super smooth, host actually met me there and walked through everything, pointed out the good bakery around the corner and warned me about which beach bars were tourist traps versus where locals go.

Honestly, this is the kind of place I’d book again without hesitation. It’s got that sweet spot of being comfortable and functional without trying too hard to impress you with fancy touches that don’t matter. Perfect for couples or solo travelers who want to experience Budva properly – close enough to dive into the nightlife and beach scene, but with your own space to decompress and plan your next day over proper coffee.
