Lovely studio apartment in Budva

Honestly, when I first walked up to this little studio on Spaska Street, I wasn’t expecting much – the address is pretty unassuming and you know how these Budva listings can be hit or miss. But stepping inside, I actually said “wow” out loud, which my travel companion still teases me about. The space feels way bigger than you’d think a studio could, and whoever set this place up really understood what travelers actually need.

The location is what really sold me though. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Slovenska Plaža – I timed it because I’m weird like that – but far enough back that you don’t get the chaos of drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM. Spaska is one of those quiet residential streets where you’ll see locals hanging laundry and old guys playing chess outside the little market on the corner. There’s this family-run bakery maybe fifty meters away where the smell of fresh burek drifts over in the mornings, and I mean, if that doesn’t get you out of bed, nothing will. The Old Town is close enough for evening strolls (maybe eight minutes if you walk slowly and stop to look at things), but you’re not paying those insane Old Town prices for everything.

What I really appreciated were the small touches that show someone actually lives in or cares about this place – there’s proper blackout curtains (crucial for summer mornings when the sun comes up ridiculously early), decent water pressure in the shower, and the air conditioning actually works without sounding like a helicopter landing. The wifi was solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload photos or work remotely for a bit. Parking can be tricky around here – it’s not the studio’s fault, that’s just Budva in summer – but there’s usually spots on the side streets if you’re willing to walk an extra minute or two. I stayed in late June when things get pretty busy, and honestly, this felt like a little oasis where you could decompress after dealing with the crowds at the beach or the fortress. The 10 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not fancy, but everything works exactly like it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
