You know what really struck me about Lucic apartment when I first walked in? It felt like staying at your friend’s place – if your friend happened to have impeccable taste and actually cared about making guests comfortable. I mean, with a 9.7 rating, I was expecting something decent, but honestly, this place punches way above its 3-star classification.

The apartment sits right in the heart of Budva, and I’m talking proper Budva – not some tourist trap on the outskirts. You can literally hear the buzz of the Old Town in the evenings (but it’s not obnoxiously loud, which surprised me). The owner, I’m guessing that’s Lucic, has clearly spent time thinking about what travelers actually need. There’s this perfect balance of local character and modern comfort that you rarely find. The kitchen actually works – I made coffee there every morning and cooked a few meals, something I couldn’t do in most hotel rooms. The bathroom has proper water pressure, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy but somehow always is in the Balkans.

What really gets me is how they’ve nailed the details without making a big show of it. The bed is genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), there’s enough storage space for more than just a weekend bag, and the Wi-Fi actually reaches every corner – small things that matter when you’re trying to work or just unwind. The place feels lived-in but clean, if that makes sense. During peak summer season, Budva can get absolutely mental with tourists, but somehow this little apartment feels like a refuge from all that chaos. I stayed during late July and while the streets were packed, coming back here felt like stepping into a quieter version of the city. The location means you’re walking distance from both the beach and those winding stone streets of the Old Town, but you’re also close enough to the newer part where locals actually shop and eat. Trust me, after a few days of tourist restaurants, you’ll appreciate being able to grab groceries at the market like a normal person and cook something simple.

  Our host was very helpful and flexible, he even helped us with the airport transfer. The apartment is close to the sea and there are several small shops nearby. We stayed for a week, the place was perfect for us.
