You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Lucic Rooms & Suites – honestly, the name sounds a bit generic and it’s technically a 3-star place. But sometimes you get pleasantly surprised, and this was definitely one of those times. The building has this understated charm that grows on you, sort of like those neighborhood spots that locals love but tourists walk right past.

The thing that really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to punch above their weight class. I mean, an 8.5 rating for a 3-star hotel? That doesn’t happen by accident. The rooms are actually well thought out – not huge, but cleverly designed so you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around. The suites especially feel more spacious than you’d expect, and honestly, the beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses, so that’s saying something). What I really appreciated was the attention to small details that a lot of places miss – good lighting for actually reading, enough outlets near the bed, and shower pressure that doesn’t make you feel like you’re being misted by a plant sprayer.

The staff here genuinely seems to care, which you can feel the moment you walk in. Check-in was smooth and they actually remembered my name throughout the stay – not in that forced, overly rehearsed way, but like they were just being decent humans. I stayed during what seemed like a pretty busy period, but the place never felt chaotic or overwhelmed. The common areas stay clean without that sterile hotel vibe, and there’s usually a quiet spot to sit if you need to make calls or just decompress. Parking was straightforward too, which honestly is half the battle these days. The neighborhood itself is pretty solid – not the most exciting area maybe, but safe and walkable, with a few local spots nearby that are worth checking out if you’re not rushing off to tourist attractions all day. I’d definitely stay here again, especially considering the value you’re getting. It’s one of those places that reminds you why ratings matter more than star counts.
