Lucky Space 1 is one of those finds that makes you feel a bit smug about your booking skills – though honestly, the name doesn’t do it any favors. Tucked away on Ulica VI (which locals just call “the sixth street”), this little studio sits in what I’d call the sweet spot of Budva. You’re close enough to walk to the Old Town in about eight minutes – I timed it – but far enough from the main drag that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 3 AM. The building itself is nothing fancy from the outside, sort of that practical Balkan architecture you see everywhere, but step inside and it’s actually quite thoughtfully put together.

The studio lives up to its “cosy” promise, though you know what? Sometimes cosy is exactly what you want. Everything’s been chosen with care – the bed’s genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), there’s proper blackout curtains that actually work, and the kitchenette has everything you need without feeling cramped. The bathroom’s small but well-designed, with one of those rainfall showers that makes you linger longer than you should. What really got me was the attention to small details… decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, outlets where you actually need them, and proper hangers in the closet. The kind of stuff that tells you someone who travels stayed here and fixed all the annoying things.

Location-wise, you’re in a residential area where actual Montenegrins live, which means there’s a little pekara (bakery) around the corner where you can grab fresh burek for breakfast, and the local market on Saturdays is just a five-minute walk. Parking can be a bit tricky – the street spots fill up fast in summer, but there’s usually space if you’re willing to walk a block or two. The beach crowd tends to clear out by 7 PM, so evenings are pretty peaceful. I mean, it’s not luxury by any stretch, but for the price and that solid 8 rating, Lucky Space 1 delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re the type who values a clean, comfortable base over fancy amenities, and you want to experience Budva like less of a tourist, this spot works really well.

  Gezellige familie kamer op loopafstand van het centrum via de hoofdstraat en boulevard. Goed bakkertje net om de hoek. Klein buiten terras. Simple slaapbank, lag prima. Ook de bedden Boven de badkamer geplaatst lagen prima. Aardige hostess nam alle tijd voor uitleg. Kleine nette badkamer met wasmachine.
  
  What could be improved: Parkeren was lastig de eerste dag vonden we snel een plekje aan een aanliggende straat, de tweede dag helaas niet. Aan het begin van de straat was wel een betaald parkeerterrein maar daar was helaas ook geen plaats daarom bij een grotere parkeerplaats in het centrum moeten parkeren voor 2,- per uur nachtje dus 35 euro…Verder had de hostess gevraagd de paspoorten in te leveren voor het betalen van de toeriste belasting. Ik vond het een.beetje vreemd de paspoorten zo maar in te leveren 3 uur na het arriveren in Montenegro. Daarom had ik haar gevraagd me te gaan naar het Tories Office. Achteraf kwam ik er achter dat ze alle goeden bedoelingen had om ons tijd en zorgen te besparen. Want aan burocratie geen gebrek.Een volgend keer zou ik dit aan haar toe vertrouwen.
