You know what struck me first about Lucky Space 2?
You know what struck me first about Lucky Space 2? The name actually makes sense once you’re inside – it really does feel like someone carved out this perfect little pocket of calm in the middle of Budva’s organized chaos. The studio sits on Ulica VI, which honestly sounds more complicated than it is – you’re basically a five-minute walk from the Old Town walls, but far enough back that you won’t have drunk tourists singing outside your window at 3 AM.
The space itself is compact but thoughtfully done, and I mean that in the best way. Everything has its place without feeling cramped, which is honestly rare for studio apartments in Montenegro’s coastal towns. The kitchen area actually works (I made coffee every morning and even attempted some local cheese and bread situations), and the bed doesn’t feel like an afterthought shoved into a corner. What really got me was the little details – proper blackout curtains that actually block the Adriatic summer sun, decent water pressure in the shower, and WiFi that doesn’t cut out every time someone in the building turns on their TV. The host clearly gets what travelers need because there’s even a small drying rack tucked away, which you’ll absolutely need if you’re doing the beach-every-day thing.
Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where locals still outnumber tourists on the street, but you can walk to Slovenska Plaza in about ten minutes when you want that resort beach vibe. The little bakery two blocks down – I never caught the name but it has those blue shutters – does these incredible burek pastries that become your breakfast routine whether you plan it or not. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak season (July and August get pretty intense), but there’s usually something within a block or two if you’re patient. I actually ended up exploring parts of Budva I never would have seen otherwise, just wandering around looking for a spot. The apartment itself stays surprisingly cool even in summer heat – something about the way the building’s positioned catches the evening breeze from the coast. Honestly, for the price point and that perfect 10 rating, Lucky Space 2 delivers on being exactly what it promises: a genuinely nice and cozy base for exploring Montenegro’s coast without breaking the bank or sacrificing comfort.
