You know what surprised me about Lux Squere Apartments? The name honestly had me expecting something flashy and over-the-top, but it’s actually this really solid, unpretentious place that just gets the basics right. I mean, it’s a 3-star property, but it punches way above its weight — that 8.5 rating isn’t an accident.

The apartments themselves feel like someone actually thought about how people live, not just where tourists crash for a night. The kitchenettes are properly equipped (I’m talking real knives that cut things, not those sad plastic attempts), and there’s enough counter space to actually prep a meal if you’re tired of eating out every night. The living areas have this comfortable, lived-in vibe — not Instagram-perfect, but the kind of place where you can spread out your stuff and not feel like you’re camping in a museum. What really got me was the attention to small details: decent hangers in the closets, multiple outlets near the bed, and blackout curtains that actually block light. You’d be amazed how many places mess up these simple things.

The building’s got character too — it’s not some cookie-cutter modern box, but it’s not trying too hard to be boutique either. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no pushy upsells or confusing key card systems. The staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood, which is rarer than it should be. Honestly, the location grows on you — it’s not right in the thick of tourist central, which means you get a better feel for how the city actually works. There’s this great coffee spot about two blocks over that locals hit up in the mornings, and you’re close enough to everything important without dealing with the chaos and inflated prices of the main drag. I stayed during what turned out to be a pretty busy week, and while you could hear some street noise during the day, nights were surprisingly quiet. The whole place just has this relaxed, functional energy that makes you want to stay longer than you planned.
