When I first pulled up, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from a 4-star in this part of Provence, but the moment you step through those weathered stone walls, you kind of get it. The place has this effortless elegance that feels more like staying at your well-traveled aunt’s country home than some corporate hotel chain.

What really struck me was how they’ve managed to keep that authentic Provençal character without making you feel like you’re living in a museum, you know? The rooms have these thick limestone walls that actually keep things cool during those brutal summer afternoons – and trust me, you’ll appreciate that when it’s pushing 35 degrees outside. The beds are honestly some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in, with proper linens that smell faintly of lavender (not the artificial stuff, the real deal). I mean, the WiFi could be stronger in some of the corner rooms, but honestly, isn’t that kind of the point when you’re here?

The staff here really knows their stuff too. The woman at reception – I think her name was Marie – gave me the most spot-on restaurant recommendations, including this tiny bistro about ten minutes away that I never would have found otherwise. She also warned me about the Saturday market crowds, which saved me from getting stuck in that chaos when all I wanted was a quiet morning coffee. Parking is actually pretty easy here, which is saying something for this region – they’ve got a small lot tucked behind the main building that most guests don’t even notice. The 8.0 rating makes total sense to me because while everything works beautifully, it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Provence. There’s something refreshing about a hotel that knows exactly what it is. You’ll sleep well, eat well at their little breakfast terrace (the croissants are legitimately perfect), and leave feeling like you actually experienced the real Provence instead of some sanitized version of it.
