The building itself has this understated elegance thing going on – it’s clearly upscale but not screaming about it, if that makes sense.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their stuff about the area. The guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic map; he actually marked out this little bakery about three streets over where locals grab their morning burek, and he was spot-on. The rooms have that solid, well-thought-out feel – I mean, someone clearly spent time thinking about where you’d actually want to plug in your phone at night, and the blackout curtains are the real deal (crucial when those church bells start up at dawn). The bathrooms are spacious enough that you’re not doing some weird dance trying to avoid the shower door, which honestly happens more often than it should at four-star places.

Here’s the thing about staying here though – you’re about a ten-minute walk from the beach, which some people might see as a downside, but I actually loved it. You get to wander through those narrow stone streets every day, past the little family-run restaurants that don’t even have English menus yet somehow serve the best grilled fish you’ll have in Montenegro. Plus, when you want to escape the beach madness (especially in July and August when it gets properly crazy), you can actually retreat to somewhere peaceful. The 8.0 rating feels about right – it’s genuinely good without being flawless. My only real gripe was that the Wi-Fi got a bit spotty on the upper floors, and if you’re here during peak season, the hot water can take a minute to kick in during evening hours when everyone’s showering after beach days. But honestly? Those are pretty minor things when you’re waking up in a place that feels more like a well-kept secret than a tourist trap.
