Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Luxury Volkan Apartment? The name makes it sound way fancier than it actually is – and I mean that in the best possible way. When I first walked up to this place on Mediteranska street, I was expecting some stuffy hotel experience, but it’s actually more like staying at your cool cousin’s incredibly well-appointed apartment in the heart of Budva.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to be close to everything without being right in the chaos of the Old Town. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk from Slovenska Plaza beach, and here’s the thing locals know – you can cut through the little side streets to avoid the main tourist crush during summer evenings. The apartment itself has this modern, clean vibe that doesn’t try too hard, if you know what I mean. The kitchen actually works (I’ve stayed in places where the stovetop is basically decorative), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. What really sold me was the balcony – not huge, but you can sit out there with your morning coffee and actually hear birds along with the distant sounds of the city waking up.
Parking was surprisingly manageable, which anyone who’s driven around Budva in July will tell you is basically a miracle. The host was one of those people who clearly takes pride in the place – not hovering over you, but genuinely helpful when I needed restaurant recommendations that weren’t total tourist traps. I’ll be honest, the building itself looks pretty standard from the outside, nothing that’ll make you stop and take Instagram photos, but inside everything just works the way it should. The Wi-Fi is solid (I was working remotely for part of my stay), the shower has actual water pressure, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on your roof. Small things, but they add up. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Montenegro, but it nails all the basics while giving you that authentic neighborhood feel. You’re close enough to walk to Becici if you want a different beach scene, and the local konoba down the street serves some of the best cevapi I had during my entire trip. I’d definitely stay here again, especially in shoulder season when you can really appreciate how peaceful this little stretch of Mediteranska gets in the evenings.

Stunning apartment and beautiful view, superb location as well.
What could be improved: The address didn't match the location. The pool was not open yet which was not written on the description and it was one of the reasona why I booked the apartment.Had one of the best days in my life there, definitely coming back again! – Dino from United States – April 13, 2025 (10/10)
