You know what caught me off guard about Lyon Apartments? It’s actually way more polished than the name suggests. I mean, when you hear “apartments,” you’re probably thinking basic extended-stay vibes, but this place really surprised me with how thoughtfully everything’s put together. The lobby has this warm, residential feel – not fancy-hotel-trying-too-hard, but genuinely comfortable with these oversized armchairs that actually look like people use them.

The rooms themselves are honestly what sold me on the place. They’ve got this lived-in quality without feeling worn down, if that makes sense. The kitchenettes are properly equipped (I’m talking real knives that actually cut things, not those sad hotel butter knives), and there’s enough counter space to spread out if you’re the type who likes to grab groceries and cook a bit while traveling. The beds are surprisingly solid – I sleep terribly in most hotels, but I actually got decent rest here. What really impressed me though was the attention to sound. You know how apartment-style places can be echo chambers? Someone clearly thought about that here because even when I could tell the place was full, it stayed pretty quiet. The walls between units are thick enough that you’re not listening to your neighbor’s entire phone conversation.

Staff-wise, they strike this nice balance between helpful and not hovering. Check-in was smooth, and when I had a question about the best coffee spot nearby, the front desk person gave me actual local recommendations instead of just pointing to the lobby café. Speaking of which – the location really works. You’re close enough to feel connected to things without being right in the middle of tourist chaos. I found myself walking to dinner most nights, which is always a good sign. The parking situation is straightforward too, which honestly matters more than people admit when they’re traveling. It’s that kind of place where you can tell they’ve worked out the little friction points that make or break a stay. Four stars feels about right – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but what it does, it does really well. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment than staying in a hotel, this hits that sweet spot.

  What could be improved: Can’t do noise after 2300 because there were families in the flat.
  I don’t suggest it as an apartment for young people.

  Savršena lokacija. Slovenska plaža na pet minuta, autobuska stanica na sedam, Stari grad na 15-ak minuta hoda.
  
  What could be improved: Klima instalirana na pogrešnom, možda jedinom mogućem, mestu ne rashlađuje kuhinju u kojoj je fotelja na razvlačenje. Nemoguć boravak na terasi zbog sunca i vrućine.
