You know what? Madra Rooms and Apartments is one of those places that sneaks up on you. When I first walked in, I wasn’t expecting much – honestly, the name doesn’t exactly scream luxury, and it’s got that practical three-star vibe going on. But here’s the thing: sometimes practical is exactly what you need, especially when it’s done right.

The rooms themselves are actually pretty thoughtful. I mean, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or anything fancy, but whoever designed these spaces clearly understood what travelers actually want. The apartments especially – they’ve got proper kitchenettes that aren’t just for show, which is huge if you’re staying more than a couple nights or traveling with kids who eat constantly. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night, and honestly, that’s saying something. There’s this kind of understated cleanliness about the whole place that I really appreciated. Nothing flashy, but you can tell they pay attention to the details that matter.

What really won me over was how the staff just… gets it. Check-in was smooth without being overly rehearsed, and when I had a question about nearby restaurants, the guy at the front desk gave me actual recommendations, not just the tourist traps. The location works well too – it’s in one of those neighborhoods where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real people live, not just a hotel district. I could walk to grab coffee in the morning without having to navigate crowds of other tourists, which was perfect. The 7.5 rating makes total sense to me because it’s solid without trying to be something it’s not. There were a couple small things – the WiFi got a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone was online, and the walls aren’t exactly soundproof if you get unlucky with neighbors – but nothing that would make me choose somewhere else next time. Actually, I’d probably book here again because it just works, you know? Sometimes that’s worth more than all the fancy amenities in the world.

  location was wonderful, very close to the city and beaches. All the basic needs were covered, e.g. kitchenette, bathroom and airconditioning. Staff was very friendly!
  
  What could be improved: the hotel is located at the top of high stairs, which is not very convenient in the hot weather in the summer months for people with limited mobility.

  Location is very close to the center. Just that you have tough steps to climb , though made me feel better after eating lots of tasty pastries. 😀 Miro and Sandra is very understanding and kind people.
  
  What could be improved: The water in the bathroom could have been running hotter. Other than that it is a nice place to stay.

  The view is quite nice. The room is big enough. There is always hot water. The bed is comfortable. The location is close to the center. Miro is very helpful in everything. No matter what we asked, he helped immediately. We thank him for his hospitality.
  
  What could be improved: We had difficulty finding the facility. There is no signboard. It was very difficult to find the reception or the relevant person when we arrived at the facility. It is very difficult if you do not have internet to communicate. The facility is located close to the old town but you have to go up the hill and then almost 100 steps. The stairs were not lit at all on the first evening. So it was very difficult to find our room. But they solved the problem later. The terrace could have been cleaner. The biggest problem was that the Wi-Fi never worked. I could never use the facility's internet.

  The accommodation was near the old centre of Budua. The balcony was nice from what it is possible to see a good panorama on the entire bay.

  The hosts were very kind, responsive, and helpful. The location was great and was walking distance to old town and beaches. The view of budva from the apartment was very impressive.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was hard for us to find as there was no clear address online. We did not feel as though it was very clean. We only received 4 hand sized towels and no extra toilet paper (we didn't end up needing any so we did not ask for more).

  The location is central, 5mins walk to beach, 8min walk to the old town, 15min walk to bus stop. Loved that there was air conditioning in the summer heat.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment wasn’t that clean, there were cobwebs in the bathroom. Luckily it was summer as the water in the shower never got hot and was only lukewarm.
  As someone who travels a lot I am used to at the very least towels being refreshed , cups and plates and bowls being clean or there being an area to clean them. However, there was a complete lack of cleaning services meaning that our dirty plates and coffee cups needed to be reused every day with no way of cleaning them. My towel was wet one day as I forgot to hang it up and I had to use a hand towel to dry myself. On the third day of our stay we ran out of toilet paper and after calling the property host we had to wait over 30mins for him to drive to get some. This is something that I think you shouldn’t need to ask for and should be readily available. Our air-con remote ran out of battery and we weren’t able to switch the air-con off for about 48hours despite mentioning this to the host (he brought us batteries when he brought toilet paper).
  Overall, for the price I expected a more comfortable stay.
