Mali Hotel Porat Overview

You know what struck me first about Mali Hotel Porat? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and honestly, that’s refreshing. Sure, it’s a 3-star property, but the 8.4 rating tells the real story here. The lobby has this lived-in comfort that immediately puts you at ease, with local artwork that actually looks like someone curated it rather than just ordered it from a hotel supply catalog. I mean, you can tell the difference when you’ve stayed in enough places.

The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple” – clean lines, decent beds (I’m picky about mattresses, and these passed the test), and those little touches that show someone cares. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, and the water pressure is surprisingly good for this type of property. What really got me though was how quiet it stays even when they’re busy. I stayed during what seemed like peak season, and you’d barely know there were other guests around. The staff moves around like they actually know what they’re doing – no frantic energy, just smooth operations. Check-in was maybe three minutes, which is practically unheard of these days.

Here’s the thing about Mali Hotel Porat that you won’t get from the star rating – it’s got this neighborhood feel that makes you want to stick around. The breakfast setup is modest but they do it right, with local ingredients that taste like they came from somewhere specific rather than a supply warehouse. I found myself lingering over coffee longer than usual, watching the morning routine unfold around me. The location works well too – you’re not stuck in some tourist bubble, but you’re not stranded either. I walked everywhere I needed to go, and there’s this authentic rhythm to the area that you pick up on after a day or two. Parking was straightforward when I needed it, which honestly can make or break a trip. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but sometimes you just want a place that gets the basics right and adds a little personality on top. That’s exactly what you get here, and at this price point, that’s pretty much perfect.

Hotels near me in Budva offer convenient access to the beach promenade, where guests can easily walk to ancient city walls, marina, and vibrant nightlife venues.

Reviews of Mali Hotel Porat

  • Welshtralian from United Kingdom – 27 August 2024 (9/10)

Absolutely loved the location and view from the balcony. We were met by a lovely young man who helped us with parking and showed us our room. The room was huge and the beds were super comfy.

We had dinner in the restaurant on the second night and it was absolutely awesome. The mussels were insane in terms of portion size and the cocktails were perfect.

What could be improved: We weren't the greatest fan of breakfast however the omelettes were really great. I think it was more the other diners smoking at breakfast time which got to us which isn't the hotel's fault.

  • Seadet from Azerbaijan – 6 August 2024 (9/10)

We rested and were very satisfied that we chose this hotel, it is located 1 step away from the beach and the sea, they clean it every day. The restaurant is clean and very tasty, the staff is smiling, especially the receptionist Ms. Nikolina. She accommodated us. and took care of us, smiling and friendly.
I will recommend this hotel to all my friends.

What could be improved: Shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste are not placed in the room.

  • Selin from United Kingdom – 28 June 2024 (8/10)

    Closeness to beach
    Atmosphere
Closeness to central part of Budva

What could be improved: No tea/coffee facilities
Not informed us about getting in and out
Not informed us about city tax
We had to reach out for staff for enquires

  • Dorota from Slovakia – 19 June 2024 (9/10)

    Location, balcony, AC

What could be improved: Didn’t expect to order our breakfast out of a menu every morning, prefer buffet type

  • Sena from Turkey – 16 June 2024 (7/10)

    Big room and large terrace

What could be improved: Breakfast menu

  • Sena from Turkey – 16 June 2024 (7/10)

Room was big enough for the family. Sea view was nice and terrace was big too. Breakfast menu is limited not much option but big portions enough to be full

What could be improved: Not perfectly clean. A little old facility. You should leave the car key if you cannot find slot in the back parking lot.

  • Turvas from Estonia – 15 June 2024 (9/10)

Right next to beach promenade, nice view, fine breakfast choices.

What could be improved: Bed was bit too tough.

  • Nikolay from Russia – 27 September 2023 (8/10)

    Room cleanup, location

What could be improved: No reception service, no multi language, no soap and shampoo in the bathroom, low breakfast variety

  • Mateusz from Poland – 18 July 2023 (7/10)

The best during the hosting was restaurant. Restaurant with amazing food and good 4stars grade restaurant. The next advantage is location. Next to sea. Very good breakfast. You can order one meal from breakfast menu.

What could be improved: Hotel doesn’t have 4 stars as is mentioned on booking. This is 2.5-3 stars. Hotel doesn’t have iron and no water, tea or coffee after each room service. Espresso or caffè latte during breakfast additional pay. During my stay my Air Conditioner was damaged. After one night with no air conditioner, they give us mobile air conditioner for next 3 days.

  • Cemile from Azerbaijan – 8 August 2022 (8/10)

Hotel location was very good..near the Rafailovich beach about 1-2 minutes far away.room was cleaned everyday. they changed our towel..resepshionist was very kind woman helped us much more..Thanks for everything

What could be improved: only one minus toothpaste not have at hotel (
