Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Mandir apartments” on Blaža Jovanovića, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up surprising you the most, and this little gem absolutely did that.

The thing about this location is that you’re actually right in the sweet spot of Budva without being stuck in the absolute chaos of the old town crowds. Blaža Jovanovića street – it’s one of those addresses that sounds intimidating to pronounce but locals just call it “near the center,” which honestly tells you everything you need to know. You can walk to the main beach in maybe 8-10 minutes, but you’re far enough back that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 3 AM (trust me on this one, I’ve made that mistake before in Budva). The apartments themselves are… well, they’re apartment-style, which means you get actual space to spread out instead of being crammed into a tiny hotel room. I mean, after a day of wandering around those narrow old town streets and hitting the beach, having a proper living area where you can just collapse with some local wine makes all the difference.

What really struck me was how clean everything was – like, genuinely clean, not just “we changed the sheets” clean. The 9.3 rating isn’t just inflated booking site nonsense; you can tell the owners actually care about the place. The check-in was surprisingly smooth too, none of that “wait around for two hours because the person with keys is at lunch” drama you sometimes get with smaller properties. And here’s something I appreciated – they actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about where to get groceries that weren’t tourist-priced, they pointed me toward this little market that’s maybe a 3-minute walk away. Small thing, but it saved me from paying €8 for a bottle of water, you know?

The apartments get decent light during the day, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places in Budva feel like caves because they’re wedged between other buildings. Parking was… well, it’s Budva in summer, so parking anywhere is a bit of an adventure, but they’ve got it sorted better than most places I stayed. One thing to note – if you’re the type who needs everything to be brand spanking new and Instagram-perfect, this might not be your vibe. It’s more “comfortable and functional” than “luxury resort,” but honestly? For the price and location, that’s exactly what makes sense. You’re in Montenegro to explore Budva’s beaches and old town and maybe take some day trips along the coast – you don’t need marble countertops and a spa, you need a clean, comfortable base where you can actually relax between adventures.

  I had room number 1 on the ground floor.
  The bed was exactly how I like it. Everything smell nice.
  Apartments are close enough to the beach and big supermarket is near by.
