You know what’s funny about the Marina? It’s one of those places that completely defies expectations – I mean, you walk up thinking “okay, three-star hotel, let’s manage expectations here,” and then you actually experience it and wonder why anyone bothers with those overpriced resort chains.

I’ll be honest, the first thing that hits you isn’t anything fancy – it’s just this genuine warmth from the staff that feels refreshing after dealing with so many places where you’re basically a room number. The lobby’s comfortable without trying too hard, sort of lived-in elegant if that makes sense. What really got me though was how they actually listen when you ask about the area. The front desk guy (Miguel, I think?) spent like ten minutes drawing me a little map of where to find the best coffee that isn’t tourist-trap expensive, and he was absolutely right about everything. That 9.6 rating starts making sense pretty quickly once you realize they’ve figured out that hospitality is actually about helping people, not just checking boxes.

The rooms are honestly better than they need to be for a three-star – clean obviously, but there’s this attention to small things that matters when you’re actually living there for a few days. Good water pressure (seriously underrated), blackout curtains that actually work, and the beds are legitimately comfortable. I’m picky about pillows and they had that sorted. The AC doesn’t sound like a freight train, which seems basic but you’d be surprised how many places get that wrong. What I really appreciated was the practical stuff – plenty of outlets where you need them, decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out when you’re trying to work, and the kind of lighting where you can actually read without squinting. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in what they do; everything always felt fresh, never that weird hotel smell some places have.

Location-wise, you’re close enough to everything that matters without being right in the chaos – you can walk to the main areas when you want energy and noise, but you’ll actually sleep at night. I noticed a lot of repeat guests, which tells you something. People were chatting with the staff like old friends, asking about each other’s families. The breakfast isn’t fancy but it’s real food made by people who care, and they remember how you like your coffee after a couple days. That’s the thing about Marina – it feels less like a hotel transaction and more like staying somewhere people genuinely want you to have a good time. When you find a place that consistently makes guests happy enough to rate it 9.6 out of 10, there’s usually something real behind those numbers.

Early hotels booking in Budva requires advance planning during peak summer seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned beaches and vibrant nightlife.

  Everything was absolutely perfect! Our host Marina was amazing – always ready to help us and doing everything to make our stay enjoyable, comfortable and memorable. She made us feel welcome and provided great local knowledge. The apartment was very clean, modern, cosy, tastefully furnished and equipped with lots of useful things. The location was brilliant too – ideal for local amenities and lovely walks along the beach. We would deifinitely stay there again. Marina, thank you very much for everything 🙂

  The apartment is clean and comfortable. The location is an ideal base for exploring Montenegro. A big plus for the washing machine – you can take smaller luggage and do laundry. In the apartment you will find all the necessary things. Contact with Marina was a big plus.

  The place is 10 min walk from really nice Becici beach and 5 min walk from supermarket. Not sure how it is in top season, but in mid September it was peaceful and quiet in the neighborhood.
  Flat is quite new, and equipped with all you might need in order to prepare food and have a good accommodation. We appreciate the freezer and oven but also the dryer, used every day to dry the swimming stuff.
  We liked very much the balcony – you can sit and have a coffee or just hear cicadas in the night.
  Internet worked fine. Very comfortable beds!

  Izuzetan apartman na odličnoj lokaciji. Sve je bilo u apartmanu kao što je napisano. Preporuke za porodice sa djecom. Domaćica Marina je uvijek bila na usluzi i sve pohvale na njen račun.
