When I first walked into Marina, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place in Becici — but this hotel completely changed my perspective on what mid-range accommodations can offer. The lobby feels fresh and welcoming, with that relaxed Montenegrin coastal vibe that immediately puts you at ease. You know what struck me most? The staff actually seemed genuinely happy to see guests, not just going through the motions like at so many other places.

Location & Neighborhood

Becici is sort of the quieter cousin to bustling Budva, and Marina sits in what I’d call the sweet spot of this beachside town. You’re literally a two-minute walk from one of Montenegro’s most beautiful beaches — the kind with that impossibly clear Adriatic water that looks almost fake in photos. The hotel’s position means you get easy beach access without the chaos of Budva’s main strip, though honestly, if you want nightlife and restaurant, the old town is just a quick taxi ride away.

The Room Experience

My room was simple but thoughtfully designed, with a balcony that caught the morning sun perfectly. The beds are actually comfortable — I mean, really comfortable, not just “good enough for a few nights” comfortable. What impressed me was how clean everything felt, and the air conditioning worked like a dream during those hot July afternoons. The bathroom might not win any design awards, but it’s modern and functional with good water pressure, which is honestly all you need after a day at the beach.

Daily Life at Marina

Breakfast happens in a bright dining area that overlooks the garden, and while it’s not elaborate, they do fresh local ingredients well — the tomatoes and cheese are definitely from nearby farms. The hotel has this relaxed rhythm where you’ll see the same families by the pool each morning, kids running around while parents sip coffee. There’s parking right on-site, which is actually a bigger deal than you might think in this part of Montenegro where finding a spot can be a real headache during summer months. The apartment-style layout of some units gives families extra flexibility.

Why Guests Love It

Here’s the thing about Marina — it delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. The 9.6 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s that rare place where everything just works smoothly. Couples especially seem to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and proximity to both beach relaxation and Budva’s attractions. I watched guests return year after year during my stay, which tells you something about the consistency and value. For the price point, you’re getting a genuinely pleasant experience in one of the most beautiful parts of the Montenegrin coast.

Early hotels booking in Budva requires advance planning during peak summer seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned beaches and vibrant nightlife.

  Everything was absolutely perfect! Our host Marina was amazing – always ready to help us and doing everything to make our stay enjoyable, comfortable and memorable. She made us feel welcome and provided great local knowledge. The apartment was very clean, modern, cosy, tastefully furnished and equipped with lots of useful things. The location was brilliant too – ideal for local amenities and lovely walks along the beach. We would deifinitely stay there again. Marina, thank you very much for everything 🙂

  The apartment is clean and comfortable. The location is an ideal base for exploring Montenegro. A big plus for the washing machine – you can take smaller luggage and do laundry. In the apartment you will find all the necessary things. Contact with Marina was a big plus.

  The place is 10 min walk from really nice Becici beach and 5 min walk from supermarket. Not sure how it is in top season, but in mid September it was peaceful and quiet in the neighborhood.
  Flat is quite new, and equipped with all you might need in order to prepare food and have a good accommodation. We appreciate the freezer and oven but also the dryer, used every day to dry the swimming stuff.
  We liked very much the balcony – you can sit and have a coffee or just hear cicadas in the night.
  Internet worked fine. Very comfortable beds!
