Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about the Mediteran Hotel & Resort? The name isn’t just marketing fluff – you actually feel like you’ve stepped into some Mediterranean coastal town the moment you walk through the lobby. There’s this warm, sun-soaked vibe that’s hard to fake, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a 4-star place, but this one gets it right.

The thing about the Mediteran is that it feels like someone who actually understands hospitality designed it. I mean, sure, it’s not going to blow you away with over-the-top luxury, but everything just… works. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately – none of that sterile hotel feeling where you’re afraid to touch anything. The beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many places mess this up), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage. What really won me over was how quiet it stays at night, even when the place is busy. You can hear the subtle sounds of the resort settling in, but no slamming doors or hallway conversations at 2 AM.

The common areas are where this place really shines, though. The pool area has these perfect little pockets where you can find some shade and privacy – not one of those places where you’re practically sitting on top of strangers. And the staff? They’re the kind of people who remember your name after day two and actually seem happy to see you. I watched them handle a pretty chaotic check-in rush one afternoon, and they kept their cool while still making everyone feel taken care of. The restaurant surprised me too – I went in with low expectations (hotel food, you know?) but ended up eating there three nights because the chef clearly gives a damn. It’s not fancy, just really solid food that tastes like someone’s grandmother made it with actual care. With an 8.4 rating, you’re getting exactly what you’d hope for – a place that consistently delivers without any major surprises, good or bad. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually relax instead of spending your vacation managing little annoyances.

To book a hotel in Budva during peak Mediterranean season, travelers need early planning as this coastal gem draws visitors eager to experience its pristine beaches and historic old town.

    Good

What could be improved: I was the only black person (solo) in this hotel. During the meals everyone would stare which made me feel uncomfortable. This had nothing to do with the hotel but my personal experience

  • Amanda from United Kingdom – 21 August 2024 (8/10)

Location was amazing. Most of the staff were exceptionally friendly. Cleanliness was perfect. Buffet Food was better than average. Bar food was much better.

What could be improved: The reception staff did not seem to know how to speak or treat customers. I found them cold and sometimes very rude.

    The meals

What could be improved: Everything was ok

  • Nádia from Germany – 31 March 2024 (7/10)

The spa area, the room and the food that was served were excelent.

What could be improved: During breakfast and dinner there was some caos, because the waiters were running around and there are so many guests that are almost shoving one another. On 2 different ocasions the linen at our table had several food stains, which i don‘t think find acceptable for a 4 Star resort.

  • James from United Kingdom – 9 October 2023 (8/10)

Very helpful staff, right next to the beach

What could be improved: English language barriers, air conditioning was poor in the room

  • Anastasiya from Czech Republic – 1 October 2023 (9/10)

I was really impressed with the interior of the hotel. It had this luxurious, but at the same time modest feeling, which is something I really like. The room was reely nice and stylish, comfortable bed, beautiful bed head and lights – minimalistic but very sleek.

Spa & wellness offers you an inside (as well as the outside) pool, different kinds of saunas (finish sauna, infrared sauna, honey sauna (which was unfortunately closed), a relax room with a lounger, which was made from heated stones and was super relaxing, different massages for extra price (varying from 35 to 60 euro) and a gym. The set of toiletries, offered in a room, had a very nice smell, it felt like a quite good cosmetics brand. It didn't dry out my skin as other hotel toiletries usually do:)

Another thing, which exceeded my expectation is breakfast. Buffet had such a rich variety of everything you could want to have for breakfast: different variations of eggs (scrambled, boiled, fried, an omelette), huge variety of cheese, meets and ham, sausages, fresh and grilled vegetables, lots of fruit, variety of pastries, little sweet desserts and baked goods and so so so much more! A huge praise for the stuff, who takes care of it!

What could be improved: On the day I checked in, the phone in my room wasn't working, so I asked at the reception to fix it. After 3 nights, that I spent there, the phone was still not fixed.

Stuff was in general very nice, but didn't get the feeling it was a pleasure for them to take care of their guests. Most of the workers seemed to be grumpy and almost never smiled at you (in case somebody from the hotel reeds this – if the stuff is not treated well from their employer or they are overworked – please work on changing that!, because it is a shame when in such a wonderful hotel you don't feel welcomed).

Another thing, that I found to be weird is that the room didn't have basic cutlery like cups, spoons and a kettle (only 2 glasses were there). There was only a bed sheet to cover yourself at night (never came across with this in hotels, because there is always a standart big duvet/blanket on the bed). A duvet was hidden in the wardrobe and didn't have any cover on it, so I had to ask for it additionally at the reception. There was a little corridor in my room, however, it didn't have any shoe or coat rack or other shelfs/drawers where I could put my bags/hat/sunglasses. Felt like a waste of space, because this space could be used more wisely.

The last thing is that the room had this electronic panel, where you could turn on/turn off the air conditioning. There were also buttons, to "turn on" don't disturb mode or request a cleaning (in case you turned these on, they would be shown on a little electronic panel outside of the room). I once turned on don't disturb mode, but the cleaner still came to my room. So are guests not supposed to use this? Does the stuff pay attention to the little electronic panel outside of guests room?

The hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable. A wide selection of hot and cold food for breakfast and in the evening. A five minute walk to their private beach where sun beds and towels were provided free of charge.

What could be improved: Staff in the cafe bar were very serious and there could be quite a wait to be served

  • Stefan from Germany – 27 August 2023 (9/10)

Mediteran Hotel & Resort is an amazing accommodation to stay.
If you are a hotel guest, you are granted free access to their great water park which is in behind, between the hotel and the street.
Also sun beds an umbrella at the “Azzuro Restaurant and Beach Bar” down on the beach are included and free of additional charge.
Gym and Spa also available on additional charge.
The room I was assigned was without sea view (-> water park view) and without balcony however, but was absolutely clean and very modern so in the end I was fine with it.

What could be improved: The bathroom door suffered some water damage from the inside and the shower door didn’t close properly.
My reservation was a room including a balcony and it smelled like someone or maybe one of the previous guests were smoking in it.

  • Marcin from Poland – 11 July 2023 (9/10)

Perfect stay in Budva region. In my opinion Becici is much better than Budva itself. A bit more quiet with less crowd, very good restaurant, cleaner beach, but still a walking distance from the main attractions. The hotel has very good standard as per Balkan POV. Those are not the same 4* as in western Europe, Dubai or even Turkey, but still really good overall. Very good prices in the bars and restaurants. Perfect breakfast with a wide choice of meals. Own beach with amenities for guests. Grocery shops nearby.

What could be improved: The rooms could be cleaner at arrival. We had to ask for additional bathroom cleaning as there was some mold under the shower. In the next days it was OK. The AC was a bit noisy in the night, but very effective. The main bar could be open a bit longer. But the most importat thing is the waterpark. Most of the slides should be renewed or closed ASAP. All of us scratched and bruised our back and elbows on a some of them. They are dangerous!!!!! No possibility to pay by contactless card (or card at all) and the swimming pool in the waterpark. Parking was additionally payable ca. 8 EUR/day.

  • Emily from France – 3 May 2023 (7/10)

We received an upgrade. It was really cool. Especially one lady at the reception she is amazing.

What could be improved: Some facilities still need to be refurbished.
A few little details that need to be taken care of.
