Milara Apartments
You know what?
You know what? I almost walked right past Milara Apartments the first time I was looking for it – and honestly, that’s kind of the charm of this place. It’s tucked away in a way that feels authentically local rather than touristy, which I actually appreciated once I settled in.
The thing about Milara is that it hits this sweet spot where you’re getting proper apartment-style space without the sterile feel of those corporate extended-stay chains. When I opened the door to my unit, there was this immediate sense of “oh, this is actually livable” – you’ve got a real kitchen (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), decent-sized rooms, and windows that actually open, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places seal you in like a spaceship. The furnishing is sort of that modern-but-not-trying-too-hard style, maybe a little worn around the edges but in a comfortable way, like staying at a friend’s place who has their life reasonably together. I mean, the couch had that perfect broken-in feeling where you could actually imagine reading a book there, not just perching on it to put your shoes on.
What really won me over was how the staff – well, they just seemed to know their stuff without being overly formal about it. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that “let me tell you about seventeen amenities you’ll never use” spiel. And when I asked about the neighborhood, the guy at the front desk gave me actual local recommendations, not just the obvious tourist traps. The building itself has this quiet confidence to it – three stars on paper, sure, but it feels like they’re not desperately trying to be something they’re not, which somehow makes it more comfortable than places that are. There’s decent soundproofing between units (I could hear my neighbors existed but not their entire life stories), and the common areas stay pretty clean without feeling overly polished. Parking was straightforward when I needed it, though honestly I ended up walking most places since you’re close enough to things that matter. The neighborhood gets this nice evening rhythm where it’s lively without being chaotic – you can hear people enjoying themselves without feeling like you’re camped next to a nightclub. I’d definitely come back, especially for longer stays when you want to feel like you’re actually living somewhere rather than just passing through.

Great location, close to old town, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The owner was very easy to work with.
What could be improved: Nothing
The owners were really helpful and friendly.
The room is quite good for a standard hotel room. Its close to old town. We stayed for one night. The room is a bit small, so it’s more suitable for those who just want to spend the night. It has free parking, which is a nice bonus.
Comfortable and modern apartment that is very equipped. The location is great, a few minutes from city center. Great service. Great value for price.
What could be improved: We liked everything
We really liked the room and there is parking at the property for an extra 5euro per night. Worth it
