But walking up to 58 Žrtava Fašizma street (yeah, it’s one of those Yugoslav-era street names that sounds intense but locals just call it “near the post office”), I was actually impressed. The building’s got that clean, renovated feel without trying too hard to be fancy. Second floor means you’ll get some decent views without the trek, and honestly, the FREE parking thing isn’t just marketing fluff – finding a spot in Budva during summer is like hunting for treasure, so this actually matters.

The apartment itself feels properly modern, not that fake-modern where everything looks sleek but nothing works. I mean, the kitchen actually has space to make coffee without bumping into the fridge, and the bathroom – well, it’s got proper water pressure, which anyone who’s stayed in old Adriatic coast places will appreciate. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night. You’re close enough to walk to Slovenska Plaža beach in about ten minutes, but far enough from the Old Town chaos that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 3 AM. The wifi actually works too (tested it during a rainy afternoon when the beach wasn’t happening), and there’s this nice natural light that comes through in the morning – not harsh, just enough to wake up naturally.

You know what surprised me most? It’s the little details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. There’s proper hanging space for wet swimsuits, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and – this might sound silly – but the shower has a ledge where you can actually put your shampoo bottle without it falling every two seconds. The location puts you right in that sweet spot where you can walk to everything that matters in Budva without being in the middle of the tourist madness. Summer evenings, you’ll want to grab some burek from the bakery down the street (locals queue there, which is always a good sign) and just enjoy having a proper base to come back to. For a 3-star place, it honestly punches above its weight – I’ve stayed in “4-star” places along the coast that felt more generic and way less comfortable than this.
