You know what caught me off guard about Montenegrina Apartment? The moment I walked in, it felt less like a hotel and more like staying at someone’s well-kept family place – and I mean that in the best possible way. It’s one of those 3-star spots that punches way above its weight class, honestly. The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there a few days.

The whole setup is refreshingly straightforward. No fancy marble lobbies or doormen in gold-braided uniforms, just solid, comfortable spaces that actually feel lived-in rather than staged for Instagram. The apartment-style rooms give you breathing room – I’m talking proper kitchen areas where you can actually cook something more elaborate than instant ramen, which is clutch if you’re staying more than a couple nights or traveling with kids who get cranky without their usual snacks. The beds are surprisingly good too; I slept better there than at some 4-star places I’ve stayed. Sometimes you don’t realize how much street noise affects your sleep until you find a place that’s actually quiet at night.

What really won me over was the attention to small things that matter when you’re living somewhere temporarily. Like, there are enough electrical outlets in sensible places (revolutionary concept, right?), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next room starts streaming Netflix, and – this might sound silly – but the shower pressure is genuinely decent. I’ve stayed at places twice the price where you’re basically standing under a gentle mist for ten minutes trying to rinse shampoo out of your hair. The local management seems to actually care about the place too, which shows in those little maintenance details that chain hotels often overlook. They know the neighborhood well and aren’t just reading from a script when you ask about where to grab decent coffee or which bus actually runs on time. Montenegro has this way of surprising you with genuine hospitality once you get past the main tourist traps, and this place captures that authentic feel without trying too hard. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities or whatever, but sometimes what you really want is a clean, comfortable base where you can settle in and explore without feeling like you’re hemorrhaging money every night.

  What could be improved: The water boiler didn't work properly, so the water was barely warm and not great for a shower after a windy day.

  The highlight of this apartment is the view! The apartment itself is tiny, but good for a short stay. Very clean. The host was super responsive and nice.
  
  What could be improved: It was a little hard to find at first, we had to ask around. Maybe some detailed instructions would be helpful.

  The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The apartments are in a quiet area away from the city, but you can get everywhere quickly by car. The owner is a very nice and helpful person. I really recommend this place!

  We spent the first night of our 2 week trip here. Ivana set the bar high for all other accommodations we stayed at. She was very friendly and her communication was timely and top notch! Her place was clean and very well equipped for shorter and longer stays. Parking right in front of the apartment. The terrace with a great view and her dog and cat were added bonuses!
  
  She took care of our tourist tax so one hassle less for us!

  What could be improved: The toilet placement was a bit weird and we had to angle ourselves around the sink 😅
  Also, while there are nets on the windows, maybe provide some mosquito spray?

  The host was super helpful and sweet. She upgraded the room and helped us order food when the power went out and we were afraid to drive in the storm. The apartment was comfortable and in a nice location!
  
  What could be improved: We unfortunately arrived during a storm, so our time in Budva became more of a rest stop – but that is no reflection on the property.

  Studio we stayed in is small but perfectly functional for two people – you have everything! Crisp clean! Super comfortable bed, dining table, a small kitchen and a private bathroom.
  Free parking in front of the house, which we loved because we had trouble with it during our stay in Montenegro.
  Hosts were amazing and we thank them for all recommendations they gave us.
  There is a big terrace on the top floor and the view is absolutely breathtaking and it is super close to Jaz beach which also has free parking (4-5minutes by car).
  There is also a big supermarket next to Jaz beach.
  A small remark – we didnt mind it at all but you will probably need a car since it is uphill, but the view compensates for that.

  The main assets of this apartment are the rooftop terrace with a view of the coast and the lovely hosts. We really enjoyed the relaxed evenings on the terrace and the hosts advised on shopping/dining possibilities etc. The apartment was spacious enough for a family with comfortable beds and working air conditioners – everything was in order and fine. Free parking for Mogren beach is nearby. And a special crush goes to the cat who checked us on regual bases 😉

  Location relative close to Jaz beach (need a car, too much for a walk) , the beds were comfy, the kitchen with all you need. The owner very friendly. Everything was perfect for us.
