You know what caught me off guard about Montesun Fontana Apartments? I was expecting your typical apartment-style hotel situation, but this place actually has some serious character. Walking up to the building, there’s this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard – which honestly makes it feel more authentic than a lot of the flashier places around.

The apartments themselves are where this place really shines. I mean, you’re getting proper living space here, not just a cramped hotel room with a mini-fridge they’re calling a “kitchenette.” The kitchens are actually functional – I’m talking full-size appliances, decent counter space, the works. Perfect if you’re like me and get tired of eating out every single meal when you’re traveling. The living areas feel lived-in rather than sterile, which sounds weird to praise but trust me, it makes all the difference when you’re trying to unwind after a long day exploring. And the bedrooms? Well, let’s just say I slept better here than I do at home most nights.

What really sets Montesun Fontana apart though is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between hotel service and apartment independence. The staff knows when to help and when to leave you alone – there’s none of that overly eager hospitality that makes you feel like you can’t move without someone asking if you need assistance. Check-in was smooth, no drama with keys or explanations about amenities I’ll never use. The building itself is quieter than you’d expect for a 4-star place, especially in the evenings when you actually want to relax. I noticed they seem to attract more longer-stay guests than the typical tourist crowd, which probably explains the more settled, residential vibe. Parking wasn’t a nightmare either, which – let’s be real – is becoming rare these days. That 8.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s the kind of place that doesn’t wow you with flashy extras but just consistently does everything right. You’ll find yourself already planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

  The best location in Budva, close to the Old Town, close to several supermarkets and big grocery market, with the underground garage for our rent-a-car and plenty of delicious restaurants nearby. The beautiful and wide sea view is a big plus. We preferred to drive to nearby beaches (Jaz, Trsteno and Ploče) instead of going to the nearby Slovenska Beach.

  I stayed here with my dad for 5 nights. Everything was great 👍, from the apartment itself👌 to staff and location 🫶. It is close to all the restaurants, shops, beaches and a short walk to Old Town. The apartment was very spacious, clean and quiet, even though it is on a busy street, once all the windows and doors are closed you would not hear anything at all, and trust me you'd want everything shut to keep the place cool 😎 A perfect place to stay for a family or a couple – anyone really. Will definitely stay here again! ♥️
  
  What could be improved: Okay, well the only thing I didn't like was the automatic air freshener at the lifts on the ground floor 🤣 it made me jump every time I stood there to wait for the lift, but the fresh summer smell was well worth it 🥰

  My stay at this apartment would have been rating 10 review if it weren't for a rough start. I am very specific when making reservations, and if I am unsure about something, I always ask. On the website, I reserved a deluxe apartment and specifically inquired if it had a panoramic view of the sea, as the pictures seemed ambiguous. The response I received was, 'Dear Sir or Madam, this apartment has a panoramic view of the sea. Don't worry the view is perfect. The parking space is additionally charged 20 Euros per day.'
  
  When we arrived, everything seemed to go smoothly at the agency running the place. They were all sweet and nice, providing us with a card for the parking garage and a private spot just for us. The lady accompanied us to the beautiful and clean apartment on the 3rd floor, but to our disappointment, the view did not match the promised 'panoramic' sea view. It could be argued it had a partial sea view, but it was far from what I had expected.
  
  The lady called the agency to resolve the issue, and it seemed like we would quickly switch to another apartment. However, the situation took an unexpected turn when she returned and tried to convince me that there are two apartments listed as deluxe, and she couldn't give us the other one. I showed her the message that clearly stated a 'panoramic' sea view, but they continued to insist that this apartment had the view we were promised, which was nonsense. Needless to say, I was becoming increasingly frustrated with all the confusion.
  
  Determined not to give up, we returned to the agency and spoke with Mrs. Snežana. Initially, she also tried to convince me that I booked the apartment on the third floor, but eventually accepted my complaint and offered a resolution. She suggested that we move to the tenth floor the next day, where we would have the stunning PANORAMIC sea view we desired.

  Sve je bilo novo u stanu i lokacija je odlicna.
  
  What could be improved: Nije bilo cisto. Opusci, prasina, prljavi podovi, nije dobro ocisceno kupatilo. Previse novca su uzeli a nisu dobro ocistili apartman.
  Pomocni lezaj je bio mal za dijete, a ne za odraslu osobu. Na kraju je peta osoba spavala na kaucu jer je dvosjed bio veci od pomocnog lezaja (tj. fotelja).
  Losa izolacija, cuo se lift, kad neko prica u hodniku i kada ulazi u stan pored.
