The apartments themselves are pretty solid for what you’re paying. Nothing fancy, but everything works, and I appreciated that the kitchenette actually had decent counter space (you’d be surprised how many places skimp on that). The balcony views vary depending on which side you get – some face the hills, others peek toward the sea if you crane your neck just right. The building’s got this Mediterranean apartment block vibe that feels authentically Montenegrin rather than some cookie-cutter resort complex. One thing though – the elevator can be a bit temperamental, so if you’re on a higher floor with heavy luggage, just… plan accordingly.

What really makes this place work is the location situation. Bečići beach is maybe a seven-minute walk downhill, and it’s genuinely one of the better stretches of sand along this coast – less crowded than the main Budva beaches but still with enough beach bars to keep things interesting. The walk back up can be a bit of a workout after a full day in the sun, but honestly, you’ll appreciate having somewhere quiet to retreat to. There’s a small market practically next door for basics, and if you want proper groceries or pharmacy stuff, the larger shops are just a quick bus ride toward Budva’s old town. Speaking of buses – they run regularly along the coastal road, so you don’t need to stress about transportation. Parking’s available too, which is actually a big deal around here during peak season.

The staff runs things pretty smoothly – check-in was straightforward, and when our shower started acting up on day three, they sorted it out within a few hours. You can tell this isn’t some massive operation where you’re just a room number, but they’re not hovering either. Perfect balance, really. The whole place has this lived-in quality that I found way more comfortable than those sterile hotel chains. Sure, the furnishings aren’t Instagram-perfect, but everything’s clean and functional, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that prioritizes substance over flashy décor. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and turndown service, this probably isn’t your scene. But if you want a comfortable base for exploring Montenegro’s coast without breaking the bank – and honestly, with access to some of the most beautiful water you’ll see in the Mediterranean – Montesun Harmonia delivers exactly what it promises.
