Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Montesun Holiday Novak Home” on Jadranski put, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But honestly? This little gem completely caught me off guard, and now I get why it’s sitting at a 9.5 rating.

The thing about this spot is that it feels like you’re staying at someone’s well-kept family home rather than a typical hotel – which, given the name, might actually be exactly what’s happening here. The Novak family (I’m assuming that’s who runs it) has this way of making everything feel effortless without being overly fussy about it. You know what I mean? Like, the check-in was super smooth, none of that awkward hovering around the desk while they find your reservation. And the location on Jadranski put – well, if you know Budva at all, you’ll appreciate that you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM. Actually, the walk to the Old Town takes maybe 15 minutes if you’re taking your time, and there’s this little bakery about halfway there that does these incredible burek pastries in the morning – the locals line up for them around 8 AM, so that tells you something.

What really gets me about this place is the attention to small stuff that bigger hotels always seem to mess up. The Wi-Fi actually works (I was video calling back home without any issues), there’s decent water pressure in the shower, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the beds are the right height. You know how some places have those massive beds you need a running start to get into, or those low platform things that make you feel like you’re camping? None of that here. Everything just feels… right. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out, and there’s this nice little balcony situation where you can have your morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display for the whole neighborhood. Parking was surprisingly easy too – there’s space right there, which in Budva during summer is basically like finding buried treasure. I mean, you’ve been to the Montenegrin coast in July, right? Finding a parking spot usually involves prayer and a lot of creative interpretation of what counts as a “space.” The family running this place clearly gets that these practical things matter more than fancy marble in the lobby or whatever. It’s the kind of spot where you settle in on day one and immediately start planning your next visit before you’ve even unpacked properly.
