You know what caught me off guard about Penthouse 240?
You know what caught me off guard about Penthouse 240? The name makes it sound like some flashy high-rise situation, but honestly, this place has way more character than that. It’s tucked right on Prvomajska street – which, if you’ve spent any time in Budva, you’ll know is actually perfectly positioned without being in the thick of the tourist chaos that hits the Old Town every summer evening.
I mean, sure, it’s technically a 3-star place, but whoever’s running this spot clearly gets what travelers actually want. The building itself has this sort of understated charm – nothing too fancy, but everything feels intentional and well-maintained. What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from all the action. The locals tend to use the main pedestrian areas closer to the marina for their evening strolls, so Prvomajska stays surprisingly peaceful after about 10 PM. And honestly, after spending your day exploring Budva’s medieval walls or dealing with the beach crowds, you’ll appreciate being able to actually sleep without earplugs.
The whole experience feels like staying at a place where someone actually cares about the details – and I don’t just mean the obvious stuff. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no upselling or weird deposit demands), and there’s something to be said for accommodations where the WiFi actually works consistently. You know how it is in Montenegro sometimes – the internet can be hit or miss, especially during peak season when everyone’s streaming and video calling home. Here, it just works. The rooms have this clean, uncluttered vibe without feeling sterile, and the windows actually open properly, which might sound silly but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case. There’s adequate storage space too – enough for a week’s worth of stuff without living out of your suitcase. What I really appreciated was the practical layout; everything feels thought out rather than just thrown together. The location means you can easily walk to the beach or duck into one of those little bakeries near Slovenska Plaza for morning coffee and burek, but you’re not dealing with the constant foot traffic that comes with being right on the waterfront. It’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to the rhythm of the town without being overwhelmed by it.
Budva’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with sea views, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this picturesque Montenegrin coastal town.
