You know what struck me first about Regina apartments? The moment you climb up to that second floor on Cara Dušana, you realize you’re literally living inside Budva’s Old Town walls – I mean, actually inside this medieval fortress that’s been here for centuries. Most tourists are stuck in those generic beachfront hotels, but here you’re waking up where Venetians once walked. The stone walls are thick enough that you barely hear the nightlife below, which honestly surprised me because Old Town can get pretty lively.

The apartments themselves are exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place – clean, functional, with that slightly worn charm that somehow works perfectly in a historic setting. What I really appreciated was how the owners clearly know their guests are here to explore, not hide in their rooms. The kitchenette actually has everything you need (rare find, trust me), and there’s something satisfying about grabbing fresh produce from the morning market just steps away and making your own coffee while looking out at those ancient rooftops. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just doing everything right.

Here’s the thing about staying right in Old Town that nobody tells you: you become part of the rhythm of the place. Early morning, before the day-trippers arrive, you can walk those narrow stone streets in complete peace. Evening hits and you’re already home while everyone else is figuring out transport back to their beach resorts. Plus – and this is key – you’re thirty seconds from Citadela, maybe two minutes from the best seafood spots that locals actually use. I watched cruise passengers struggle up the hill with their luggage looking for restaurants we could see from our window. The parking situation is… well, it’s Old Town Montenegro, so you’ll probably end up walking from outside the walls anyway, but honestly that becomes part of the charm. During peak summer it gets busy (what doesn’t in Budva?), but even then there’s something magical about having your own quiet space inside these walls while chaos swirls around the coast. If you want to feel like you’re actually staying somewhere with history instead of just visiting it, Regina apartments gets it right.

  Couldn’t ask for a better location! This was a wonderful apartment in the centre of the old town with a beautiful view of the marina. The host was super accomodating with luggage holds and was very kind and welcoming. Everything was very clean and as described. Would recommend and love the host!

  An amazing apartment in the best location in Budva. It is in the old town near all the restaurants and bars (and still no noise disturb).
  Walking distance to the 2 main beaches (5 minutes).
  The host, Ogi, is very very kind and helpfull.
  Incredible Value For Money!!!
  Don't think twice.. believe me.. I have checked a few options and I'm so glad we hosted there..

  The manager met us because you cannot drive to the apartment, it’s less than a 5 minute walk from where the taxi stopped.
