Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Ric Apartment? It’s tucked away on Dositejeva Street in this quiet residential pocket of Budva that somehow feels completely removed from the tourist chaos, yet you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Old Town walls. I mean, most places either dump you in the middle of the party noise or stick you so far out you need a taxi everywhere – this one actually nailed the sweet spot.
The apartment itself is honestly better than I expected from the photos. The owner, Ric (yeah, real person, not some corporate thing), clearly lives in Budva and gets what travelers actually need. The kitchen has proper coffee cups, not those tiny hotel things, and there’s a decent-sized fridge that can handle more than just minibar items. The Wi-Fi is solid – I was video calling without issues, which honestly surprised me since Montenegro can be hit-or-miss with internet. What really got me was the attention to small stuff: good blackout curtains (trust me, summer sunrise hits early here), bathroom hooks that actually hold your towel, and – this sounds weird but matters – the shower has proper water pressure. You’d be amazed how many Balkan apartments mess this up.
Here’s the thing about the location that locals know but tourists miss: Dositejeva puts you close enough to hear the Old Town buzz on weekend nights, but the buildings kind of buffer the sound, so it’s more like distant background music than party madness. During the day, you can cut through the small streets and pop out right by Slovenska Beach in maybe seven minutes, or head the other way toward the marina where there’s this little bakery (no English sign, just follow the smell) that does these incredible burek pastries. The 9.9 rating honestly makes sense once you stay there – it’s not luxury, but everything just… works. Ric responds to messages quickly, check-in was smooth, and when I couldn’t figure out the air conditioning remote (all in Cyrillic), he sorted it out within an hour. The value is pretty incredible too, especially considering you’re getting apartment space and privacy in a town where decent hotels cost twice as much. I’d definitely book this again, probably will next summer actually.

Great apartment and host – Evgenij from Serbia – June 17, 2025 (10/10)
We spent our family vacation in Budva, and I can confidently say this was the best rental experience we've ever had. Ivan is a truly exceptional host — kind, attentive, and always ready to help. Thank you for the thoughtful gifts, they were a lovely surprise and much appreciated!
The apartment itself is spotless, beautifully renovated, and fully equipped with everything you might need. It's also good soundproof — we never heard of the neighbors. The location couldn't be better: everything is within walking distance, and the sea is just a short stroll away.
A solid 10 out of 10. We'd be delighted to return again!

Very nice place and the host is just fantastic! Ivan is so friendly and nice! The appartment is just as on the photos, cristal clean, in the kitchen all you may need, very comfortable beds. 10 minutes walking to the sea and promenad area and the old town, 5 minutes to the main street with shoping center and supermarkets. We enjoied our stay very much! Just to pay attention, it's 4th floor without elevator, for us it was not problem at all!
What could be improved: It's not exatcly did not like, it's some small points to improve – bigger size towels and a glass door instead of the curtain in the shower could make the stay even more comfortable. Also may be a small table in the kitchen, the one on the terrace is great, but in the winter it's not allways comfortable to eat outside…Great Value Apartment – Kaine from Australia – October 12, 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is cozy, spacious and very clean, with a comfortable balcony. The apartment has fast Wi-Fi, smart TV. The apartment has a very convenient location: there are many shops, restaurants, beaches and the old town nearby, which allows you to explore the best places in Budva. The owner is very kind and responsive, always stays in touch if you have questions or need help. The apartment itself is ideal for a group of friends. I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Budva.
What could be improved: A small minus is the lack of a microwave.Exceptional – Sotirova from Bulgaria – July 28, 2024 (10/10)
