Rooms Dana
Rooms Dana
You know what?
You know what? I walked past Rooms Dana probably three times before I actually noticed it – and honestly, that turned out to be part of its charm. It’s one of those unassuming places that doesn’t scream for attention with flashy signs or doormen in gold-braided uniforms, but once you’re inside, you realize the owners put their energy into the stuff that actually matters.
The whole place has this quietly efficient vibe that I really appreciated. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling, no lengthy explanations of amenities you’ll never use, just friendly people who seemed genuinely happy to see you arrive. My room was smaller than what you’d get at some chain hotel, sure, but everything felt thoughtfully laid out. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and I loved that they actually provided decent lighting for reading. You’d be amazed how many places get that wrong. The bathroom was compact but modern, with one of those rainfall showerheads that made my morning routine feel a bit more luxurious than usual.
What really impressed me was how well they handled the little details that can make or break a stay. The WiFi actually worked everywhere – I mean, consistently worked, not just technically functioned. There’s something to be said for a place where you can video call from your room without having to hang out in the lobby like some digital nomad refugee. The soundproofing was solid too; I could hear a bit of street activity if I really listened for it, but nothing that interfered with sleep. Housekeeping was thorough without being intrusive – they managed to clean around my scattered belongings without making me feel like I’d been judged for my organizational skills. And here’s a small thing that says a lot: they keep the common areas genuinely clean and comfortable, not just presentable for photos. I actually ended up spending time in their little seating area near reception because it felt welcoming rather than sterile.
The location grows on you as you figure out the neighborhood rhythm. You’re not in the thick of tourist chaos, which means you can actually experience some local flavor without fighting crowds for every coffee or meal. I discovered a fantastic bakery just two blocks away that clearly serves more locals than visitors – the kind of place where pointing at pastries works perfectly fine as a communication strategy. For a three-star spot, Rooms Dana delivers an experience that feels more thoughtful than its rating might suggest. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, and there’s real value in that kind of authenticity when you’re traveling.

What Our Guests Say
The best location in the heart of old town ❤️
What could be improved: Overall very neat and clean but the shower is the best part of the property
Really busy when arriving in the night, and really difficult to find a parking spot when arriving by car, but excellent location in the old town!😊
The host was welcoming and helpful.
Location
The property was clean, modern and good value for money! In my opinion the room looks way better in person than on the pictures! The location was perfect, communication was quick.
I messaged the staff and asked if they could decorate the room with some balloons as it was my partners birthday and our anniversary and they did a wonderful job of this! Thankyou.
What could be improved: Could have done with an extra pillow but that’s just being picky!
The landlord Nikola is a perfect guy. He helps you about everything. My wife got sick as soon as we arrived. He took us to the hospital with his own car and waited there for us. He is a life saver.
The rooms are in the middle of everything.
I will stay there everytime I go Budva.
Best location, really good rooms and kind hosts
What could be improved: Nothing, everything was perfect
Host is AMAZING, location is perfect, rooms are clean. Highly recommended.
Location of the room . Walkable distance from attractions
Everything was very nice, a caring and clean host. I definitely recommend it, the location is very good and historical. very close to beaches.
The location is perfect, away from the new hotels and the masses. The old town is beautiful and cozy, the apartment is a cca. 7 min walk away from Mogren II beach which we liked best in Budva. The bus station is cca. 20 min away. The host is very nice and helpful, he helped guide us to the apartment as we couldn't find it initially. The room and the bathroom were completely clean. There is no common kitchen, which was not completely clear from the description. Very good value for the price.
What could be improved: Nothing really.
