But Dana manages to give you that authentic old town experience without the chaos. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the main square and those famous medieval walls, but the street itself has this quieter, more residential feel. I actually loved hearing the morning sounds of locals heading to work instead of just party music echoing off ancient stones. The rooms themselves surprised me – clean lines, decent space (which is rare in these historic buildings), and honestly better WiFi than some 5-star places I’ve been to. You can tell someone put thought into the renovations without trying to modernize away all the character.

What really sealed it for me was the practical stuff that nobody talks about in those glossy hotel photos. Parking in Budva Old Town is usually a nightmare, but they actually help you figure out the closest spots, and the owners genuinely seem to care about making your stay work. I had this moment on my second morning where I was struggling with the old wooden shutters – you know how these historic buildings can be quirky – and within five minutes someone was there helping me out with a smile, not an eye roll. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you experience little touches like that. Sure, it’s not going to have a spa or room service, but if you want to fall asleep to the sound of the Adriatic instead of highway traffic, and wake up in a place where you can grab fresh burek from a local bakery before the tour groups arrive, this is your spot. Just book early if you’re coming in summer – word gets around about places like this pretty quickly.

  The property was clean, modern and good value for money! In my opinion the room looks way better in person than on the pictures! The location was perfect, communication was quick.
  I messaged the staff and asked if they could decorate the room with some balloons as it was my partners birthday and our anniversary and they did a wonderful job of this! Thankyou.

  The landlord Nikola is a perfect guy. He helps you about everything. My wife got sick as soon as we arrived. He took us to the hospital with his own car and waited there for us. He is a life saver.
