You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Royal Gardens Paradise – honestly, the name sounds a bit over-the-top, doesn’t it? But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s one of those 4-star hotels that feels like it’s trying harder than most, and somehow that effort really pays off. The lobby hits you with this warm, lived-in elegance that doesn’t feel stuffy or pretentious. I mean, sure, there are plenty of plants (living up to that “gardens” name), but they’re not those sad, droopy hotel plants you usually see – these actually look like someone cares about them.

The rooms are where this place really won me over, though. Everything feels thoughtfully put together without being too precious about it. The beds are properly comfortable – not just hotel-comfortable, but actually-want-to-sleep-in comfortable – and the bathrooms have that perfect water pressure that makes you want to take longer showers than you probably should. What I really appreciated were the little touches that show they get what travelers actually need: enough outlets near the bed, blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this might sound weird – but the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine taking off every time it kicks in. You’d be amazed how many places get that wrong.

The staff here genuinely seems to enjoy their jobs, which makes such a difference when you’re dealing with travel stress or just need recommendations. They’re not overly chatty if you’re clearly in a hurry, but they’re incredibly helpful when you need them to be. I had this one front desk person who knew exactly which nearby restaurants would still seat you at 9 PM on a weeknight – that kind of local knowledge you can’t fake. The hotel sits in this spot where you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough away that you’re not dealing with constant street noise or crowds of people stumbling past your window at 2 AM. Honestly, for the price point and that 8.7 rating, Royal Gardens Paradise delivers exactly what it promises. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it’s doing the fundamentals really, really well. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need – a place that just works without any drama or unpleasant surprises.

  The place is very central in Budva, near the beach, the city center and the old city (10 min. walk)

  And Budva is a very good place for holidays.
  Beach but also a lot of very touristic and natural parks around not far from the city
  and it is easy to rent a car to travel around
