Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Royal Residence Apartment,” I was expecting some over-the-top tourist trap trying too hard to sound fancy. But you know what? This place actually delivers on the royal treatment without making you feel like you’re staying in a museum.

The thing that struck me right away was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between apartment-style independence and proper hotel service. I mean, you get the space to spread out (and actually unpack your suitcase, imagine that), but there’s still someone to help when your key card inevitably stops working at 11 PM. The rooms have this warm, lived-in elegance – not the sterile perfection you sometimes get at chain hotels, but more like staying at your wealthy aunt’s place if she had impeccable taste and fresh towels every day. The kitchenette situation is actually functional too, not just a mini-fridge and a sad coffee maker shoved in a corner.

What really won me over, though, was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for more than just crashing after tourist activities. The Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously cut out every time you try to video call home, the shower has proper water pressure (seriously underrated), and the walls are thick enough that you’re not involuntarily part of your neighbor’s phone conversations. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period and honestly never felt crowded or rushed – the staff just has this calm efficiency that makes everything feel effortless. The concierge knows their stuff too, not just the obvious tourist spots but actual local recommendations that don’t feel like they came from a guidebook.

Here’s the thing about that 8.9 rating – it feels earned, not inflated. Are there tiny things that could be better? Sure, the elevator’s a bit slow and sometimes the air conditioning has opinions of its own, but these are the kind of minor quirks that give a place character rather than real problems. It’s the sort of place where you find yourself actually looking forward to coming back after a long day out, maybe grabbing something from the market and cooking in your little kitchen while planning tomorrow’s adventures. For a 4-star property, it punches above its weight in the ways that actually matter when you’re trying to feel at home somewhere new.

  What could be improved: Asunnossa oli vain yksi peitto ja pussilakana. Majoittaja ei saanut hoidettua toista pussilakanaa ja toista tyynyä, jolla olisi voinut nukkua. Lisäksi tullessamme lämminvesi ei ollut päällä (lämmitys kesti monta tuntia)
