Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Ruza apartman” on the booking site, I wasn’t expecting much. Three stars in Becici? But you know what, sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you. This little gem sits right in the Zgrada Mrdak building on Narodni front, and honestly, that 9.8 rating isn’t just luck.

The thing about Becici is that it’s sort of the quieter sister to Budva’s party scene – you get the gorgeous Adriatic coastline without feeling like you’re camping out in a nightclub district. Ruza gets this balance perfectly. The apartments are actually proper apartments, not those cramped hotel rooms where you can’t even open your suitcase properly. I mean, you’ve got real kitchen space here, which is clutch when you want to grab some of that incredible local produce from the morning markets (there’s one just a short walk toward the main beach area – locals hit it up around 8am before it gets too picked over). The owners clearly understand that travelers want to feel settled, not just parked somewhere for the night.

What really got me was the attention to small stuff that most places completely ignore. The Wi-Fi actually works consistently – I know, revolutionary concept – and the beds are proper firm, not those saggy mattresses you sometimes get in vacation rentals. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the water pressure in the shower is fantastic. After a day hiking around the coastal trails or dealing with the summer crowds in old town Budva, that kind of thing matters more than you’d think. The location gives you easy access to both the beach scene and the bus connections if you want to explore further up the coast toward Kotor or down to Bar. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which… well, if you’ve driven around Montenegro’s coast in summer, you know that’s saying something.

The family running the place – they’re locals, been in Becici forever – they actually seem to care about whether you have a good stay. Not in that hovering, overwhelming way, but they’ll point you toward the better beach spots that aren’t completely overrun with tour groups, or tell you when the local konoba down the street is doing their fish specials. It’s that kind of insider knowledge you can’t get from chain hotels. Sure, it’s not going to have a fancy spa or a rooftop bar, but honestly? For the price point and the genuine hospitality, Ruza delivers something better – it feels like staying somewhere real, where actual people live and work, not some tourist bubble designed by committee. If you’re looking for authentic Montenegro coastal experience without the inflated prices of the fancier spots, this is exactly the kind of place you book and then quietly hope stays under the radar.

  Everything was perfect, the place is spotless clean, it had everything you would have in your own home and more, the bed is super comfortable, the terrace/patio is pleasant to sit on, there is shade and nice view of the mountains, the location is excellent, good supermarkets nearby as is the local bus stop that takes you to Budva (2 min walk). The hostess is an amazing person and is extremely hospitable. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to everyone.

  Dvorište je ogromno i tu parkirate auto i ima te mjesta da sjedite i da se djeca igraju. Imate odvojenu spavaću sobu što je super kad ste sa djecom. Klima hladi super. Dvorište je par sati na suncu, tako da je naveče vrlo prijatno sjediti napolju.

  Lokacija blizu plaže,
  4-5 minuta laganog hoda sa punim rukama stvari i 3 dece 🙂
  Domaćica super, lak dogovor, sve u par reči.
  Ova ogromna terasa ispred je prava stvar. Mi smo parkirali auto i ostalo je mnogo mesta za igranje (lopta, trotineti…). Terasa je samo za vas, niko drugi je ne koristi.
  Kapiju možete da zaključate, samo obratite pažnju na kapiju iza smeštaja, ako imate malu decu. Ona nije mogla da se zaključa, ali to nije problem. Mesto je mirno, Idea market na 1 minut hoda.
  Unutar smeštaja imate sve kao kući:
  Pribor za jelo, čaše, šolje za kafu-čaj, džezve, toster, fen, prašak za veš, kupke, veš mašinu, frižider, zamrzivač, usisivač i sve je čisto.
  Imate i tv programe, sve radi.
  Stvarno preporučujemo ovaj smeštaj i od nas čista 10! Vidimo se ponovo! 🙂
