Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Sea View Apartments Rafailovici – I mean, the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know, right? But you know what, sometimes the straightforward places are exactly what you’re looking for. This 4-star spot sits right in Rafailovici, which is basically this perfect little pocket between Budva and Becici that most tourists completely miss (their loss, really).

The thing that got me right away was how the apartments actually deliver on that “sea view” promise – and I’m talking about proper views, not some sliver of blue you have to crane your neck to see from the bathroom window. Most of the units face out toward the Adriatic, and honestly, waking up to that every morning never gets old. The apartments themselves feel more like someone’s well-kept holiday home than a typical hotel room – there’s actual counter space in the kitchenettes, decent-sized fridges, and the kind of balcony where you can actually sit with your coffee without your knees hitting the railing. The 8.0 rating makes total sense once you’re there for a day or two; it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything works the way it should.

What I really appreciated was the location – Rafailovici beach is literally a two-minute walk, and it’s one of those rare spots along the Montenegrin coast where you can still find a decent patch of sand without fighting crowds, especially if you head out early. The little promenade has this great fish restaurant (locals call it “kod Ace”) where the grilled sea bass is honestly some of the best I’ve had anywhere. You’re also close enough to Budva that you can easily walk there along the coastal path – takes maybe 20 minutes and the views are incredible – but far enough away that you don’t have to deal with all the late-night party noise that echoes through Budva’s old town. Parking can be a bit tight during peak summer (July-August gets pretty crazy), but the staff usually knows where to direct you, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that endless paperwork some places put you through. If I had one minor gripe, it’s that the WiFi can get a bit spotty during busy periods, but honestly, when you’re looking out at that view, scrolling through emails feels pretty pointless anyway.
