Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Seaside Milena? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be fancy, but somehow gets the important stuff right. I mean, walking up from Jadranski put – that’s the coastal road that winds along Budva’s shoreline – you’re not expecting much from what looks like a pretty standard apartment building. But honestly, once you’re inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the place.
The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, and I loved how they’ve got these little balconies where you can actually hear the waves if the traffic dies down (which it does, thankfully, after about 10 PM). The owner, Milena – yeah, it’s actually her name on the place – keeps everything genuinely clean, not that sterile hotel clean but more like your neat aunt’s guest room clean, if that makes sense. The kitchenette is basic but functional, which matters because Budva’s restaurants can get pricey during summer, and there’s a Franca supermarket just a five-minute walk down toward the old town where you can grab decent groceries.
What really works here is the location – you’re close enough to walk to Slovenska Beach without breaking a sweat, but far enough from the main party strip that you won’t have drunk tourists singing outside your window at 3 AM. Actually, that walk to the old town takes maybe fifteen minutes along the water, and it’s honestly one of the prettier strolls you’ll take. The building sits right where the newer part of Budva starts to thin out, so you get this nice mix of local life and tourist convenience. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak season (July and August are absolutely nuts), but Milena usually has some insider knowledge about spots that aren’t obvious to visitors. The 7.5 rating feels about right – it’s solidly good without being remarkable, though I’d argue the value is better than that number suggests, especially if you’re staying more than a few nights. The AC works well (crucial in Montenegro summers), the Wi-Fi doesn’t constantly drop out, and there’s something refreshing about a place that just does the basics properly instead of promising amenities it can’t deliver.
The concierge service in Budva can arrange exclusive boat tours, secure reservations at seaside restaurants, and organize visits to nearby Sveti Stefan and Kotor Bay.
