Seaside Nest Budva
Seaside Nest Budva
You know what?
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Seaside Nest Budva when I first walked up to that four-story building on Mediteranska Street, but honestly, this little place completely won me over. It’s tucked right into the heart of Budva’s old town area – I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from those medieval stone walls that everyone comes to see, and the main beach is so close you can hear the waves from some of the upper floor rooms. The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without paying those crazy seafront hotel prices.
What really struck me was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth (they speak decent English, which helps), and the woman at reception – I think her name was Milica – actually drew me a little map showing the best route to avoid the tourist crowds when walking to the citadel. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly. I stayed on the third floor and had this nice little balcony where I could watch the locals heading to work in the morning while sipping coffee. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building, which isn’t always a given in Montenegro’s older properties. Air conditioning worked great too – crucial during those sweltering July and August nights when Budva gets packed with Serbian and Russian tourists.
Here’s the thing about this place that really matters: it feels authentic in a town that’s increasingly full of generic vacation rentals and overpriced resort hotels. The building has character without being run-down, and you’re staying in an actual neighborhood where people live year-round, not just some tourist bubble. Parking can be tricky (welcome to Budva), but there’s a public lot about a five-minute walk away that won’t break the bank. The breakfast spread is simple but fresh – local cheeses, decent coffee, fresh bread from somewhere nearby. Nothing Instagram-worthy, but it gets the job done. I actually found myself looking forward to those quiet morning moments before heading out to explore. Sure, you might hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper, but that’s just part of staying in the center of a lively Mediterranean town. For the price point and that perfect rating they’ve earned, Seaside Nest delivers exactly what it promises – a comfortable, well-located base for exploring one of Montenegro’s most beautiful coastal cities.
