But walking up to 115 Mimoza street, there’s something genuinely calming about this little apartment complex that sits just far enough from Budva’s main tourist madness to feel like a real neighborhood.

I mean, it’s technically a 3-star place, but honestly, whoever’s running these apartments clearly cares more about the experience than checking boxes for star ratings. The 9.1 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s one of those spots where everything just… works. The apartments themselves are spacious in a way that most Budva accommodations aren’t, with kitchenettes that you’ll actually want to use (the local market is just a short walk away on Jadranski put, and trust me, the tomatoes there are incredible). The decor won’t win any design awards, but it’s comfortable and clean, with those little touches that matter – good water pressure, decent Wi-Fi, and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing.

What I really appreciated was the location. You’re close enough to walk to the Old Town in about 15 minutes – pleasant in the evening, maybe a bit warm during peak summer afternoon heat – but far enough away that you won’t hear the cafe music until 2 AM. The Mimoza street area has this residential feel where you’ll see locals walking their dogs and kids playing, which is refreshing after spending days surrounded by other tourists. Parking can be tricky during July and August (like everywhere in Budva), but there are usually spots available if you’re not too picky about walking an extra block or two. The staff – well, they’re not hovering around with fake smiles, but they’re helpful when you need them and seem to know the area well. They pointed me toward a bakery around the corner that I never would have found otherwise, and it became my morning ritual. The check-in was straightforward, none of that overly formal hotel lobby experience, just practical and friendly. If you’re expecting resort-style amenities, this isn’t your place, but if you want a comfortable base to explore Montenegro’s coast without paying Old Town prices or dealing with party hotel chaos, Serenity Blue delivers exactly what it promises. Plus, you’re perfectly positioned for day trips – Kotor’s just 30 minutes away, and the beaches south toward Bar are less crowded than the main Budva spots.
