You know what? Sobe Jana surprised me. I mean, it’s a three-star place so I wasn’t expecting miracles, but honestly, this little spot has something going for it that a lot of fancier hotels don’t – it actually feels authentic. The moment you walk in, there’s this lived-in quality that I can’t quite put my finger on. Maybe it’s the way the lobby furniture looks comfortable rather than pristine, or how the staff greets you like you’re visiting relatives instead of checking into a business transaction. The whole place has this unpretentious vibe that’s getting harder to find these days.

What really won me over was the attention to details that actually matter. The rooms aren’t huge – I mean, let’s be realistic about three-star space – but they’re thoughtfully arranged. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s decent lighting for reading, which half the hotels I stay in completely mess up. The bathroom had one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works, not just for show. I appreciated that the walls seem properly soundproofed too – you’re not lying there listening to your neighbor’s TV all night. Parking was straightforward, which honestly is half the battle these days. Check-in was smooth, no unnecessary upselling or complicated explanations about amenities I’ll never use.

Here’s the thing about Sobe Jana – it’s got this 8.4 rating for a reason, and after staying there, I get it. It’s not trying to be something it’s not. The place runs well, the staff seems to genuinely care about your experience, and there’s this comfortable, no-fuss atmosphere that makes you want to come back. The whole property has this clean, well-maintained feel without being sterile. I noticed they pay attention to the small stuff too – fresh towels that actually smell good, decent water pressure, and the kind of quiet efficiency that means someone’s paying attention behind the scenes. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on the basics really well and doesn’t charge you extra for common sense, this is your spot. It’s not flashy, but it’s solid – and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  The price and the location were excellent. We didn't want a real expensive place but, wanted it within walking distance from the Budva beaches. Air conditioner worked great. Clean place. Nice!!

  Host was really accommodating. Brought us drinks on arrival. She also helped with travel plans. Bed was comfy, bathrooms were spotlessly clean.
  
  What could be improved: The WiFi was rubbish. Didn't work for more than 5 minutes at a time. Had to ask a few times for toilet roll as the shared bathrooms kept running out.

  This is an apartment, so it's quite huge. I booked it as an emergency since the other property cancelled last minute. I think it's great for a family, too big for one person. Central and walkable distance to everywhere.
