You know what struck me first about Spa Resort Bečići? It’s this wonderfully unpretentious place that somehow manages to feel both polished and relaxed at the same time. I mean, you’re literally steps from one of Montenegro’s most gorgeous beaches – and honestly, Bečići beach doesn’t get nearly enough credit compared to the more famous spots along the Budva Riviera. The sand here is this lovely golden color, and the water stays surprisingly calm even when other beaches nearby are choppy.

The hotel itself sits right in that sweet spot where you can actually hear the waves from most rooms (ask for a sea-facing one if you can), but you’re not dealing with the absolute chaos of central Budva. I actually love this location because you get the best of both worlds – walk fifteen minutes along the coastal path and you’re in the thick of Budva’s old town with all its restaurants and nightlife, but come back to Bečići and it’s like exhaling after holding your breath. The spa facilities are genuinely impressive, not just some afterthought tacked onto the name. They’ve got this indoor pool area that feels almost grotto-like, and the massage therapists actually know what they’re doing – I’m picky about this stuff.

What really won me over, though, were all these little touches that show someone’s actually thinking about the guest experience. The breakfast spread includes proper local cheeses and that thick, creamy yogurt Montenegro does so well, alongside the usual international stuff. Check-in was refreshingly quick, and the front desk staff seem to genuinely know the area – they steered me toward this amazing seafood place in nearby Rafailovići that I never would have found otherwise. Parking’s included, which is honestly a godsend because finding a spot anywhere along this coast in summer can be a nightmare. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable without trying too hard to be trendy – good beds, decent air conditioning, and bathrooms that actually have proper water pressure. Is everything perfect? Well, the Wi-Fi gets a bit spotty during peak evening hours, and you’ll definitely hear your neighbors if they’re being loud, but honestly, these feel like minor quibbles. For a solid four-star experience right on one of the Adriatic’s prettier stretches of coastline, with spa facilities that don’t feel like an afterthought and staff who seem to actually care about what they’re doing – yeah, I’d absolutely stay here again.
