You know what caught me off guard about Splendid Apartments? The name actually fits – and I say this as someone who’s stayed in plenty of places where “splendid” was… well, let’s just say aspirational. This is one of those 3-star spots that punches way above its weight, earning that solid 8.3 rating because they’ve figured out what travelers actually want instead of what they think we want.

The apartment setup is honestly perfect if you’re tired of cramped hotel rooms where you’re literally eating takeout on the bed. I mean, having a proper kitchen counter to spread out your stuff, a separate living area where you can actually think – it makes such a difference. The apartments themselves have this lived-in comfort that feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying somewhere institutional. Sure, the furniture isn’t showroom-perfect, but everything works and there’s enough space to not feel like you’re living out of a suitcase. The beds are surprisingly decent too – I’ve learned to pack my own pillow after too many disappointing nights, but didn’t need it here.

What really won me over was how they handle the little things that can make or break a stay. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no endless upselling or forms to fill out), and the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood when I asked about places to grab coffee in the morning. The kitchenettes come stocked with basics – not just a sad little coffee maker, but actual plates, proper glasses, even a decent knife for cutting fruit. Parking was easier than I expected, which honestly wasn’t something I was counting on. The whole place has this quiet, residential feel that means you’re not dealing with slamming doors and hallway conversations at midnight like you get in some hotels. I actually slept well, which – if you travel much – you know is not something to take for granted. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a few days without feeling like you’re camping out, whether you’re in town for work or just want a comfortable base for exploring without the hotel premium.

  Clean, good location near shops, sea, cafe (I recommend Aquarius with homemade food), helpful host. Good Wi-Fi. Budget stay.
  
  What could be improved: Little room, not so many place for stuff, no public kitchen and microwave. Apartments for not so long staying.

  The apartements are confortable, and the location of the property is very good, close to the center of budva. Sasha, the host was very helpful and friendly. Overall a very nice stay.

  Very nice hosts, the rooms were very clean and confortable, it had everything we needed. The location is close to the beach and to the local market. We had the parking lots in their yard. It was very beautiful!

  Everything was super clean, the beds comfortable and huge, the house was equipped with everything you can need even for a long stay, the owner very polite and helpful (he drove me to find my car and helped me with the police). Near to center everything walking distance, nice quite area 100% value for money
