But the moment you walk into that lobby, it’s clear this place takes itself seriously in all the right ways. I mean, even the elevator music doesn’t make you want to claw your ears off.

The spa here is genuinely something special – and I’m usually pretty skeptical about hotel spas since they can feel like expensive afterthoughts. But they’ve got therapists who actually know what they’re doing, not just following a script. The hydrotherapy pools have this perfect temperature that makes you want to stay way longer than your appointment slot. What really impressed me though was how they handle the conference side of things without making leisure guests feel like they’re staying at a business hotel. Sure, you’ll see some suit-wearing folks in the lobby during weekdays, but the whole place has enough personality that it never feels sterile or rushed. The restaurants – there are a couple – actually serve food you’d order again, which honestly surprised me since hotel dining can be hit or miss.

Here’s the thing about five-star places: sometimes they’re so focused on being fancy that they forget about the basics. Not here. Your room key works the first time, every time. The housekeeping staff somehow manages to clean without moving all your stuff around (you know how annoying that can be). And the beds – well, they’re the kind where you end up googling the mattress brand because you want one at home. The whole property feels like someone who really travels designed it for other people who travel a lot. Little touches like having actual hangers instead of those theft-proof ones that don’t work, or bathrooms with enough counter space for your stuff. That 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying too hard to impress, it just consistently gets things right in a way that makes your stay genuinely comfortable rather than just Instagram-worthy.
